A huge shout out to Chris, Patrick and Ryan Marsh who donated their time today (May 26) to install the two new service doors at the visitor center. Their professionalism and quality work is much appreciated. Such a great donation to their community! The doors are one of the last improvements to this city-owned building paid for by the Oregon Main Street Grant; with matching funds from Plumb, Level and Square; and hundreds of hours of in-kind labor from Main Street board members and friends.

The Second Chance Festival last weekend was truly something special.

The Repair Café, Port Orford Sweep and Trashion Show brought people together in the best possible way—neighbors helping neighbors, creativity on full display, and a whole lot of second chances given to things that might have otherwise been thrown away.

We saw broken items fixed, well-loved pieces brought back to life, and incredible artistry walk the runway—proof that this town knows how to repair, reuse, and reimagine in style.

But more than anything, this weekend was about community.

People showed up—for each other, for the town, and for the idea that small efforts can add up to something meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, volunteered, picked up, judged, modeled, repaired, and cheered. It doesn’t happen without you.

And a huge thank you to our sponsors for supporting this vision and helping make it possible. Your investment in this community matters more than you know.

This what Port Orford can do when we come together.
