Bring on the battle! Our awesome local first responders will be battling it out on Saturday, November 7th at the Safeway on Bethel to see who can collect the most to help our South Kitsap neighbors! They will be the ones to fight it out, but in the end, our community will be the real winner!

Thank you Port Orchard Police Department and South Kitsap Fire and Rescue! We truly appreciate everyone's support and encourage anyone who is in the position to give this year to consider making a donation to help out this very worthwhile food drive. Thank you!

Our agency is in discussions with Meals On Wheels Kitsap to use the community room here at our facility as a regular dining site for seniors! We'd love to be able to get an idea of how many might be interested in participating in the lunches if we were to offer that.

If this is something you or a family member would like to be a part of, please leave a comment here or send an email to [email protected] with the days that would work best for you if we offered a lunch for seniors here on a regular basis.

We are so excited at the possibility of being able to bring another dining site (especially for our seniors!) to our community!

If you'd like to host a food drive or just purchase extra when you are out shopping, we'd be so grateful! Please help us make sure no one goes without food this holiday season. Thank you!

There are just a few weekends left to enjoy our own hometown farmers market, right on the Port Orchard waterfront!

Support local farmers, artists and food vendors. Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays. You can use your food benefits there, too! SNAP/EBT shoppers can receive up to $10 in matching funds through SNAP Market Match. Stop by the Market Info Booth to exchange your benefits for market tokens and stretch your food dollars further. WIC and SFMNP benefits can be used directly with participating vendors.

Volunteers help to make the severe weather shelters happen. Would you like to help ensure our neighbors in need of shelter during the cold nights have a warm and safe place to rest overnight?

If you have time to spare, please consider volunteering. Your help is needed. If you have been thinking about it, this is your sign!

Community volunteers are needed to support the Severe Weather Shelters in Port Orchard, Silverdale and Kingston this winter. Safe, warm beds are provided when the overnight temperature is expected to fall below freezing, or in response to the forecast of other storm conditions in the winter months.

Training dates:
Kingston - Oct. 13 & Nov. 5
Silverdale - Oct. 15
Port Orchard - Nov. 12

They are available to answer questions and are helping to ensure people know how to register to vote and check their voter status if they are already registered. Thank you very much!
