Tuesday, Aug 18 Speaker: Karen Richmond, attorney from Richmond Hill - Karen was born and raised in Kitsap county and has been actively practicing law in the Port Orchard area since 2010, founding the firm now known as Richmond Hill in 2015. Her practice primarily focuses on elder issues, including wills, trusts, probate, guardianship and fiduciary responsibilities. She also handles evictions, bankruptcies, real estate transactions and small business planning. She regularly speaks to specialist and community groups on legal issues of concern to seniors.

August 8th Speaker: Janet Bjornemo, Red Light Therapy. Janet is a Graduate of University of Arizona with a BS in business administration.

She has been with the Silverdale Wellness Center for approx 4-1/2 years doing red light therapy.

She also opened up Haselwood YMCA for 13 years where I taught rowing, TRX, water aerobics and nutrition classes.

Amazing weekend. Sunday was the amazing at the Saints Cruz Car Show. Our Port Orchard Rotary for 2nd amazing year had pancakes, sausages, fruit, and coffee available at Polaris theater. Our partners, South Kitsap Fire and Rescue came out in full force. They are an amazing group of volunteers. We want to, also thank, Starbucks on Sedgwick, for donating coffee to our guests. Thank you ☺️ Thank you that made this breakfast very successful. I had to include our Glass Odyssey Corvette club came out in full corvette Beauty.

Another Minister of Fun event to support a new business, Char kitchen in Bremerton. Amazing night with Rotarians, their partners, the meals were amazing, the service was excellent. Thank you Char Kitchen for the wonderful night. It was perfect. 🤩

Great meeting today. Our club wanted our speaker, Ken Bagwell to feel comfortable, so we all all dressed in western wear, to hear his presentation on the Kitsap Stampede and Rodeo. Then we inducted our new Rotarian, Amanda, into the club. We are on a roll, bringing new members. That’s cuz we have so much fun.

Port Orchard Rotary Speaker - August 4, 2026, Ken Bagwell - Ken Bagwell is an attorney with over two decades of diverse legal experience and brings a practical, solution-focused approach to his work at Bagwell Law, PLLC. Since beginning his legal career in 2002, Ken has developed deep roots in the Kitsap County legal community, starting as a prosecutor with the Kitsap County Prosecutor's Office before transitioning to the Bremerton City Attorney's Office.

Drawing from his extensive background in public service, Ken established his private practice in 2012, where he has spent the last 14 years building a reputation for thoughtful, comprehensive legal counsel. His practice areas include real estate and property matters, estate planning, contract disputes, business formation and litigation, and general civil litigation. Ken has developed particular expertise in municipal law, serving as trusted counsel to several municipal entities throughout the state.

Known for his ability to see the big picture, Ken excels at developing practical solutions to complex legal challenges. His approach combines thorough legal analysis with a keen understanding of his clients' broader objectives, ensuring outcomes that serve both immediate needs and long-term goals.

Beyond his legal practice, Ken is deeply invested in the local community, serving as President of Kitsap Stampede, where he helps organize the beloved annual Kitsap Rodeo. When not practicing law or contributing to community events, Ken enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and most importantly spending time with his wife and three daughters.
