This is a friendly reminder that our next EAA Chapter 288 gathering will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 7:00 PM in the chapter hangar.

Note that this is the 4th Thursday of the month since Sun N Fun was last week.

This month’s speaker is Josh M, who will be presenting highlights of his class on “Cognitive Resilience Protocols - Aviation Performance & Safety”

On March 21st, EAA 288’s annual taxi-in event featured nearly 90 aircraft on display for the community to enjoy. Chapter members were able to come out and see all the unique planes and socialize with other members.

There was a tremendous effort from numerous volunteers to make this event happen, we could not have done it without them!

Rian Johnson will speak on 4 February at 7 PM at the EAA hangar at 215 Cessna Blvd. Rian is managing the MOSAIC specification work for the industry, he has special insight on how MOSAIC will change current aviation processes. He is also the Chief Engineer for Vans aircraft. He will give us an update on the new Vans RV-15. This is a can’t miss event!

Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 288 Daytona Beach and the Daytona Ninety-Nines Organization of Women Pilots is hosting a joint event to provide information on getting started in aviation as a private pilot and a scholarship information session for ALL LEVELS.

⏰Time: 2pm PPL info session, 3pm scholarship info session
📍Location: EAA Chapter 288 Hangar; 215 Cessna Blvd Port Orange, FL 32128

If you are already a private pilot and only want to attend the scholarship info session, arrive/log into the google meet at 3pm. Details about how to get started in flight training will be discussed, all the little things that give you the knowledge and the tools to get started in flight training. If you are thinking about becoming a pilot, this is your one stop shop to learn all the things you need to know. Next, we will talk about funding flight training and tips to find scholarships, create a winning application, and create your scholarship game plan. We have an experience scholarship reviewer sharing all the best practices to make your application stand out. Parents are also encouraged to attend if your child is interested in aviation.
