A huge THANK YOU to Kenneth Michael Haney for becoming the very first member to sign up during our 2026 Membership Drive! ⚓️

Ken has been a longtime supporter of the Bayshore Center at Bivalve and a past crew member aboard AJ Meerwald, and we are so grateful for his continued support of our mission.

Ken was the first to respond to the 2026 Membership Drive on April 22, 2026, helping us kick off another exciting season of preserving maritime history, environmental education, and our Delaware Bayshore community.

Thank you Ken, we’re proud to have you as part of the Bayshore family! 💙

Oyster Boat Lindbergh (built 1927) was owned and operated by Ralph DiPalma and Lou Miller in the 1960s and 1970s.

He and a partner worked in the insurance industry, but they would take two weeks off every Bay Season to transplant oysters from the State seed beds near Fortescue to the leased oyster beds near East Point Lighthouse.

They made good money and continued for many years.

Gift of Ralph DiPalma.
