Happy Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Some of you may not realize that, about 2 weeks ago, you all had a little Super Fan watching you bowl! An uninvited Super Fan. But a Super Fan nonetheless.

We called him Rocky! Doug had other names for him.

He set off the alarm a couple of times just to keep Broken Arrow Police Department on their toes! Rocky would come out and sit on the approach to be sure the lanes were being oiled properly! Quality control is important.

He discovered that his favorite food were the flour tortillas that were accidentally left out one night (this did come in handy later). Rocky really enjoyed coming out on Monday nights to watch Scratch Draft Bowl from lane 36.

Let's just say the war that was waged between Doug Mellott and Rocky the Squirrel became epic. There were moments that we were getting serious Bill Murray in Caddyshack vibes--and concerns.

Luckily, a strategically placed critter trap featuring a fine dinner of flour tortillas did the trick. Rocky was safely relocated after a stern conversation with Doug about all the havoc he had caused. We believe they came to a mutual understanding.
