🐾❀️ WELCOME CALHOUN COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY! ❀️🐾

We are proud and excited to welcome the Calhoun County Humane Society to our Whoville Holiday Market Days on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 10 AM–4 PM at the Bauer Community Center in Port Lavaca!

They’ll be bringing some very special furry friends who are hoping for something more precious than any Christmas gift β€” a loving forever home. 🏑❀️

Adopting a dog isn’t simply bringing home a pet. It’s giving an animal a second chance. It means giving a dog who may have been lost, abandoned, or surrendered the opportunity to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family.

🐾 When you adopt, you save a life β€” and you also make room for another animal at the shelter to be rescued and cared for.

Even if you’re not ready to adopt, please stop by and meet the Calhoun County Humane Society. Learn about adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating and find out how you can make a difference for animals right here in our community.

And who knows? One look into those big brown eyes, one wagging tail, or one little paw reaching for you might be the beginning of a friendship you never expected. ❀️🐢

Come shop, support, and maybe SAVE A LIFE this Christmas season!

πŸ“… Friday, September 11, 2026
⏰ Service Begins at 8:30 AM

πŸ”” The bell will be rung 25 times in recognition of the 25 years since September 11, 2001, accompanied by facts and remembrances honoring those who lost their lives and those who responded that day.

Following the bell ceremony, anyone in attendance will be invited to share a personal memory, story, or remembrance of September 11, 2001.

The service will conclude with a r***e salute, the playing of Taps, and a benediction.
