Everyone is invited Saturday May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. to the MBVFD as we host our annual memorial Day lunch. This year we're mixing it up and we are doing grilled beef and chicken fajitas, rice, beans and all the fixings to go with it.
$15 for 1 meat plate
$20 for 2 meat plate

We will also have a dunk tank set up where you can purchase balls and dunk our contestants.

$2 per ball or 3 ball for $5

And we are working on number 4 ( who would be our Famous MBVFD Fire Chief and EMS Instructor John Mayne )
But I am pretty sure with the publics help of harassing him 😁 we may just get him in there.

All of the money raised from the lunch and dunk tank will benefit the Magnolia Beach VFD.
We will also be selling our 50/50 raffle tickets, Quilt donated by Cindy Wachtendorf Risden tickets, and the alligator blanket donated by Ester Mayne though the drawing for the 50/50 and quilt is not until July's 4th
We will be doing a drawing on the 23rd for the alligator blanket. We will also have a few other handmade blankets for sale.
So plan on coming out and getting some delicious food and visit with the fire department, your neighbors and all of the locals and visitors. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have.

Thank you to everyone who came out to make our 40th annual spring adopt a beach a success. We had a 140 volunteers sign in at our location. 4.4 miles of beach and marsh were covered and 69 bags of trash were collected along with the few trailers full of junk / trash also.
We would like to send a big shout out to RJ Shelly with the Calhoun County Marine Extension office, Texas GLO , the Matagorda Bay Mitigation Trust, Calhoun County Precinct 1 Commissioner John Martinez and the entire Precinct 1 crew, Calhoun High School Anchor Club, Magnolia Beach VFD, Corey Buck for tromping through the swampy waters to get the stuff that was almost impossible to get, Barry Atkins for making our pulled pork, Diana Manschot for making her homemade coleslaw, everyone who came and pitched in and and my crew at the Magnolia Beach VFD Auxiliary ! Without each and every single one of you this would not have been possible.
We hope to see all of you again in the fall as we wrap up the 40th year with the Fall Adopt A Beach!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to donate toys, blankets and/or hard candy. We had a good turnout.

However locals beware this green creature was lurking around the fire station and made off with a few presents and a tree. I was told by a secret source he's going to be hanging around until Christmas.

Remember to come and bring the kids and furrbabies this Saturday December 13th 2 to 4 for pictures with Santa, gifts, cookie decorating and there are rumors there may be a guest appearance by a certain someone.

All of our local people make plans to come out and get your pictures taken with Santa. Furrbabies who can be civilized reindeers are welcome to come get their pictures taken and receive a treat.
Local kids in our area are welcome to come and pick out a present.
Saturday December 13th 2 to 4 p.m. at the MBVFD.

EVERYTHING IS FREE. AT 1:00 P.M. WE ARE GOING TO START BOXING EVERYTHING UP TO TAKE AWAY SO COME GET IT WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!!

UPDATE: EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR THE THREE HEAVY DUTY TOOL EQUIPMENT PIECES ARE NOW 50% OFF OR FILL A TRASH BAG FOR $5. OR A BOX FOR GLASSWARE. BAGS WILL BE PROVIDED.
COME HELP US CLEAR OUT THIS STUFF.

It's that time of year again. We are super excited to announce our MBVFD Auxiliary Fall Yard Sale!
November 14th, 15th and 16th.
Since it will be such a large yard sale we have changed locations to better suit the amount of space that is needed.
Our fall yard sale will take place at
967 North Ocean Drive
Here at Magnolia Beach. Feel free to reach out if more in depth directions are needed.

We will have tools, clothes, shoes, purses, kitchenwares, home decor, weight bench, 5th wheel tripod and much much more.

We are accepting donations but we are unable to accept and heavy and large furniture at this time as we will not have the muscle and manpower to lift and transport however drop off is an option if the item is in good usable condition.

Please make sure clothes are not wet or mildewy prior to pick up or drop off.

We are only 10 days away so make your plans now to come out and rummage through our sale.

To everyone who came to our Annual Fall Open House last night, to everyone who donated items for our auctions and raffles, to everyone who bid on the items, to everyone in our community and surroundings that happened to be in the area and showed up to bid on items, eat the food, and just have great visitation with all, you have absolutely no idea how much we all appreciate you! Last night was one of the best Open House events (at least since I have been involved).
We had just enough food to go around, I don't think anyone left hungry. I do not have a total at this exact moment of the amounts we raised.
But that is neither here nor there. We are so blessed to have such a supportive community. From everyone at the MBVFD and Auxiliary Thank You!
We did not get a lot of pictures so please feel free to show any that you may have gotten.
We are now officially into the holiday season. So we all wish you the happiest of holidays this year.
