Evening Fellowship at Old Fields

Last night's evening meeting at Old Fields was a wonderful reminder of what Rotary is all about—friendship, fellowship, and fun! The food was delicious, the drinks were flowing, and the conversations were even better as members gathered to share ideas, discuss our exciting upcoming events, and look ahead to an incredible Rotary year together.

It was great to see such a fantastic turnout and so many smiling faces. A special highlight of the evening was Michael and Cindy raising a cheerful toast—with shrimp cocktails in hand! Moments like these strengthen the friendships that make our club so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting as we continue making a difference together!

We are thrilled to announce that Michael Burghardt has assumed the role of Chair of Gift of Life Long Island's Board of Directors, which was effective July 1, 2026!

We extend our deepest gratitude to Harry for his invaluable dedication and leadership, and we are delighted that he will remain an active member of our Board.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael is a dedicated community servant. He has been an active member of our own Board of Directors, previously serving as Vice Chair, and has held multiple leadership positions with the Rotary Club of Port Jefferson, including President. Notably, he has also successfully spearheaded our Annual Healing Little Hearts Gala for the past two years, demonstrating his deep commitment to our cause.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Michael into this pivotal leadership role. His strategic vision, operational expertise, and dedication to service will be invaluable as we continue heal little hearts around the world.

Please join us in congratulating Michael Burghardt on his new role, and once again, thank you to Harry Miller for his exceptional service! We look forward to Michael's leadership and the positive impact he will undoubtedly bring to Gift of Life Long Island.

Our club is immensely proud to announce that our very own Dennis Brennan was inducted into the Rotary District 7255 Hall of Fame! As a long-standing and highly respected member of the Port Jefferson Rotary Club, Dennis has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Rotary International’s ideals, leaving an indelible mark on his club and community through his leadership and service. His life embodies the very essence of “Service Above Self.”

Dennis proudly served as President of the Port Jefferson Rotary Club from 2009 to 2011, was a committed member of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) board, lent his leadership and expertise as a member of the Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck board, and maintains a commitment to the Open Cupboard food pantry.

Drawing on his background as an educator, Dennis was instrumental in establishing the Port Jefferson Rotary’s recognition of “Most Motivated Students Awards” and associated scholarships.
