We had an amazing SCMEA Elementary Classroom Music Workshop this morning: Early Childhood Workshop with Kelly Voigt at Bicycle Path Kindergarten Center in the Middle Country Central School District. Way to go Kelly Voigt and Co-Vice Presidents for Classroom Music Victoria Saladino and Sharon Quinlan! 🎶🎉

What a fantastic weekend of jazz at the SCMEA All County Jazz Festival! In three short days jazz musicians from Suffolk County came together with their chairpeople and guest conductors for an unforgettable experience. Thank you to the village of SCMEA that assisted every step of the way putting this endeavor together! Angelina Wasson and John Samonte you both share your passion for music education everyday and we all thank you! Our guest conductors were amazing! Jimmy Greene conducting the HS Instrumental Ensemble, Jennifer Wharton the MS Instrumental, Sara Gazarek with the HS Vocal and Dylan Pramuk guided the MS Vocal ensemble. They each took the ensembles to new heights in a fantastic concert! Thank you to my dear friend Paul Weber along with his music staff at Bayport-Blue Point for hosting an amazing festival! Our chairs are the best! Brendan McGlone, Anthony Abate, Cynthia Zielski Reinhardt, Mikey Anzalone, Kyle Reese, Derek Warshauer and Jonathan Elliott thank you so much for all you do! And WOW the best vocal rhythm sections! Jay Orig, Dave Lobenstein, Ellis Holmes, Glenn Chiarello, Dave Sacrestano and Tim Zerone. Thank you all for sharing your talent and wisdom with the students. I am honored to chair this festival and could not be prouder of the SCMEA experience in the world of jazz! 🎶
