AWAP Rescue We are a non-profit animal-welfare organization that rescues homeless, abandoned and abused animals.

We are a very small group of individuals dedicated to the rescue of stray and homeless animals. Our focus is primarily the trap,neuter, return of stray/feral cats in an effort to control the overpopulation of unwanted cats/kittens in our community

A happy update from Oliver’s family! 🖤🤍

Adopted a couple of months ago, Oliver was a volunteer favorite, so it’s especially sweet to see him enjoying life with his loving family and three feline siblings. He’s formed a special bond with Stella, their playful two-year-old Maine C**n, while the family’s two other orange and white kitties are a bonded pair of their own!

Enjoy these pictures of Oliver, both on his own and with his furry family. We love seeing our former rescue kitties settled into their forever homes. 🐾

Wonderful news—Violet and Iris from Lake Grove have finally been adopted together! 🩶 This wonderful family welcomed the girls home, where they now have two cat brothers, Merry and Pippin, and a human sister too.

Their family prefers to stay off social media, so we skipped the going-home photo, but they kindly sent us these pictures of Violet and Iris living it up in their new home! We’re so happy these girls get to start their next chapter side by side. 🐾

💗 Meet Mimi 💗

With her beautiful green eyes and fluffy, curly coat, five-year-old Mimi is ready for a fresh start. She may be a Persian/Selkirk Rex mix, though we don’t know her breed for certain. Recently surrendered by her owner, she is now safe at our rescue and has been fully vetted.

Losing a home is a big change for any cat. Mimi deserves time to settle in, a cozy place to call her own, and a family who will love her for years to come. 🐾

Sweet shy Josie was adopted on Monday! We didn’t get a going home pic but we wanted to share the awesome news. With lots of help from all the volunteers, Josie slowly came out of her shell.
