Maryhaven creates welcoming environments where people with special needs may reach their highest potential and enjoy a life full of dignity, purpose, and inclusion. Maryhaven’s Residential Programs are family-like group homes and apartment-style communities where adults with special needs can live an independent, purposeful life with support. In addition to providing housing, we support attaining the highest quality of life and personal growth by offering life skills and job training opportunities through our Day Habilitation, Vocational Training, and Supportive Work Programs.

Curtain Call Cafe is officially on the move!

Today marked a first for our traveling coffee shop as we packed up the café and brought the coffee to Dayhab 101! Our first mobile pop-up was a huge success, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where Curtain Call Cafe takes us next. From great coffee to even better company, today was the perfect opening act. We’re looking forward to hitting the road, serving up smiles, and bringing the Curtain Call Cafe experience to more locations soon!

🌟 New Program, New Adventures! 🌟

The newly established Holbrook PWW program is off to a wonderful start! Daniel, Katie, and Kalisto are the very first individuals to be part of the new program, and they are already making the most of every opportunity to learn, explore, create, and connect with their community.

From showing off their bowling skills at Lucky Strike in Sayville, where two individuals took home first and second place, to enjoying a day of friendly competition at Topgolf in Holtsville, there has been no shortage of fun and exciting experiences! 🎳⛳

The group also explored downtown Port Jefferson, taking in the sights of the ferry, boats, and yachts, while Katie and Kalisto recently visited the Sachem Public Library in Holbrook to participate in a community art class. Kalisto created diamond designs across two canvases, while Katie painted the four seasons on one canvas and a heart on another, proudly sharing her artwork with the class. 🎨❤️

These experiences are just the beginning for Daniel, Katie, and Kalisto as they continue discovering new interests, building connections, and enjoying all that their community has to offer through the Holbrook PWW program.

We’re excited to see where their next adventure takes them! 💙
