Restored Hearts Women’s Foundation Announcement

In light of the recent announcement from Healing Hearts Home and their decision to memorialize the nonprofit, I want to share an important update with our community.

My name is Rosanna DiMaggio, and with deep respect for the beautiful mission Dr. Christina Gallina-Flood began, I have prayerfully moved forward in launching Restored Hearts Women’s Foundation. My heart is to continue supporting and uplifting women who are seeking healing, connection, and renewed hope.

Restored Hearts Women’s Foundation is being built as a safe and supportive space where women can come together to grow, build healthy relationships, and walk forward in strength and community.

Healing Hearts Home Announcement
From The Board of Directors

It is with deep respect and a full heart that we share an important update regarding Healing Hearts Home.

Healing Hearts Home was created by Christina. It was her vision, her calling, and her heart that built this organization from the ground up. She poured herself into creating a safe place for survivors and families who needed compassion, dignity, and hope. Everything this organization became was because of her courage and commitment.
After thoughtful consideration, we will be closing the doors of Healing Hearts Home.
This decision comes with emotion, gratitude, and immense pride for what was accomplished under Christina’s leadership and legacy. The lives touched, the healing that began, and the hope restored will continue far beyond these walls. Christina’s memory does not end here. It carries forward in every person who found strength because of her vision.

To every volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter—thank you. You stood beside Christina’s dream and helped make it real. You helped build something meaningful.
Christina’s heart was always bigger than one organization. Her impact will continue.

Healing Hearts Home Statement

The Board of Directors of Healing Hearts Home has met with the Flood family and, together, we have made the decision to continue the mission that Dr. Christina Gallina-Flood so lovingly built.

Christina’s heart, faith, and dedication to healing changed countless lives, and her legacy will continue through the work of Healing Hearts Home. At this time, we are taking a moment for reflection, prayer, and gratitude for the outpouring of love and support that has surrounded this organization, Christina’s family, and all those she served. Every prayer has been felt, and we are deeply thankful.

The Board will meet again in January to prayerfully plan for the future and the next chapter of Healing Hearts Home.

During this transition period, Michelle Mensinger, longtime Board Member since 2022, has been named Acting Executive Director, pending full Board approval. Michelle has worked closely with Christina and has supported the mission in many capacities, stepping in wherever needed to help sustain and protect the work Christina began.

Christina's heart and shoes will be incredibly difficult to fill, it will take a village and yes, God has sent us a village. We are so blessed ❤ We ask for continued prayers as we move forward with faith, unity, and purpose. God bless each and every one of you for your love, your prayers, and your support.

Our dear Christina went very, very peacefully into the arms of her Savior early this morning after a heroic 6-month-long battle with cancer. Thank you all for your love and support in this time. ❤️

Dr. Christina Gallina-Flood has been admitted to the ICU, and her prognosis is very poor. Before anything else, we want to ask everyone who has ever been touched by her kindness, her wisdom, or her ministry to please send her messages of love, hope, and peace for her journey with God. Your words will surround her with the warmth and faith she has poured into so many others.

As we move into this holiday season, this family is deeply on my heart. Christina has been a shining light in our community for more than a decade. She has lifted countless people through Healing Hearts Home and supported more organizations than we could ever list. She has spent her life caring for others.

Now, she and her family need us.

The financial burden they are carrying is tremendous. Medical bills, supplies, equipment, non-covered treatments, and Andy’s time away from work have become overwhelming. They have done everything they can to shoulder this themselves, but they cannot do it alone anymore.

Last night’s Healing Hearts Home Board Meeting filled our hearts with gratitude. We are incredibly thankful for the wonderful women who continue to pour their love, leadership, and compassion into this mission. Michelle Mensinger, Dr. Christina Gallina-Flood, and Johnnie-Marie Howard — thank you for being present, supportive, and dedicated. Your commitment is a true blessing to this organization and the families we serve.

We also want to acknowledge the board members we missed: Lisa Bowers-Shagena, Tina Black, and Cameron Koch. Even in your absence, your guidance and passion are felt. We are grateful for each of you and the important role you play in moving Healing Hearts Home forward.
