Unfortunately, the boys suffered a 3-0 loss against Plymouth last night to end their season.
Today some of the boys got together to celebrate their awesome season!
Our team can’t say that we are at the end, but we have officially reached the part of the road that branches into multiple directions. This is where some players move onto high school, some continue to play through travel hockey, others will move onto AAA hockey, and some may move onto others sports & activities. They may become opponents instead of teammates, but all of them will have a lifelong bond that is unbreakable.
The 2009 Port Huron Flags:
-Played at the Yzerman level for 5yrs out of 6.
(One level lower than AAA hockey )
-Qualified for 4yrs of 6 LCAHL championship weekend
-Played in 2 MAHA state championship tournaments
-Brought home 1st place finishes from 15+ tournaments
-Had the honor of playing at LCA, Yost, Munn, Western Michigan, Sarnia Sting, among many others
It was tiring and amazing, exhausting and rewarding, expensive and priceless.
