MICHIGAN- We are a small group of animal loving volunteers. Misfit Angels does not have a facility/shelter. We are foster based rescue only. We are honest and forth coming about all of our dogs we place for adoption. We, for the life of the pet will be at your assistance if any problems should arise in the future. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped, heartwor

m tested (treated if positive) and treated for any injury prior to adoption. We provide as much information as we know prior to their new beginning with Misfits, along with our own experiences while with Misfits. Our adoptable dogs have basic training, house training and unless otherwise noted crate training. Dogs entering our organization are allowed time to decompress so we are able to

🎸Scooter Saturday Takeover🎸

Sure, sure. We all know I’m ridiculously handsome.

We ALL know I’m house-trained. We ALL know I ring a bell when I need to go outside. We ALL know I can give both paws. We ALL know I’m a really good dog…basically a perfect specimen .

Frankly, it feels like we’re spending a lot of time discussing the basics. 🙄

Meanwhile, nobody is talking about my REAL skills.⁉️

Luckily for you , I have provided them here :

🐿️ I can spot a squirrel from distances that frankly shouldn’t be possible.

🧀 I can hear a cheese wrapper from three rooms away while sound asleep.

👀 I can maintain constant neighborhood surveillance from the window.

🦴 I can relocate a bone to a “safe place” and then immediately forget where I put it.

🏃‍♂️ I am the undisputed Zoomie King of the World. There is no governing body for this title, but there should be. 🤷🏼‍♀️

🌳 I can spend 20 minutes outside investigating something and still have absolutely no idea what it was.

📢 I can hear someone say “who wants a treat?” at a volume normally reserved for secret government meetings.

🛋️ I can turn any couch into MY couch in under 30 seconds.

🎤 I provide complimentary vocals whenever Metallica comes on. 🎸

Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that while being handsome, charming, and adoptable is great, it’s really my advanced skill set that sets me apart.

So crazy!

🐾Cocos story🐾
I seen coco posted last year at DACC, I wanted to pull her (so bad) but I had no room at my house, no open fosters
Within that week she was adopted! YAY!
Not yay.
She got out & was gone within 24 hours.
Many people went looking for her including me with Mary navigating finding hiding places.
She was found 3 weeks later at a neighbors house. They wanted to adopt her! YAY!
Not yay.
Last week she shows up at DACC
- an entire year later -
thin, with some more scars on her head. They get ahold of the people that had her -oh, she ran away last year, but we have a new dog & don’t want her back 🤯
She’s also been HEARTWORM POSITIVE this entire time.
When I seen her I could not believe it. This time, no matter what -she was coming home with me.
At 6 years old, with zero stability until now, she is the SWEETEST girl.
She’s done with the Coco life, now Knox & already knows it 🤔
Knox is a great girl… Stay tuned 🐾

Meet Scooter 🖤 At just 11 months old and 64 pounds, Scooter is a big-headed, ridiculously handsome pit mix with an even bigger heart.
He’s all puppy enthusiasm wrapped up in a strong, goofy body — and he’s still learning the rules of life.

Scooter hasn’t always had people show up for him. He’s been let down more than once, and we’ve promised him that won’t happen again. What he needs now is a committed, patient family who will continue his training and show him that forever really means forever.
✨ The good stuff:
• Rings the bell to go outside
• Knows “sit”
• Knows “down” (about 50% of the time — he’s working on it!)
• Offers both paws like a total gentleman
• Crate trained/House trained
• Dog friendly
• Has not met a cat
• Kids 8+ (he’s strong and energetic and sometimes forgets he’s not a lap dog)
• Pretty good on leash with minimal reminders
• Professional-level kisser 💋

Scooter is playful, affectionate, and full of life. He loves to move, loves to learn, and would thrive with someone who enjoys training and keeping an active young dog mentally and physically engaged. A fenced-in yard is a must for this energetic boy — he needs space to zoom and burn off that puppy energy.
Oh, and fun fact: Scooter lines up perfectly to Metallica. 🤘 (We’re not saying he’s a metalhead, but… we’re not not saying it either.)

Meet Jiffy 🥜
She came to Misfits today, terrified. We were asked if we could take her as she wasn’t going to make it out of the shelter.
6 months, 18 pounds.
‼️DACC has a transport program, I work the hours they are open during the week, this girl (1 of 2) pulled today, needed out now.

This transport saves lives everyday.

After months n’ months(14 months),she is staying with the family she is most comfy with, where she shines, is happy and can SWIMMM! 👙
Elena has fostered some really great dogs over all these years & never kept one. I think Jello set it up to stay for the pool 🏊 😂
Thankful Jello won’t have to beg for a family or a share, anymore.
Thank you for pulling her extremely scared self from DACC all those months ago & giving her the happy ever after 🖤
