Your dedication to supporting women living with heart disease is truly remarkable. Through your work with WomenHeart and the support network you lead in St. Clair County, you have helped countless women find hope, encouragement, and connection during some of life's most challenging moments. Your message reminded us of the importance of advocacy, community, and caring for both our physical and emotional well-being.

We especially appreciated learning how meaningful support and education can empower women to take charge of their health and thrive. Your commitment to lifting others up, creating inclusive spaces, and helping women feel seen and supported is an example for all of us.

❤️ October Program Speaker Spotlight: Joe Burgett ❤️

This month, we are honored to welcome Joe Burgett as our October Program Speaker.

For more than two decades, Joe has dedicated her time, energy, and heart to empowering women affected by heart disease through her work with WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. As a Champion Mentor, Advocate, Educator, and Support Network Coordinator, Joe has become a trusted source of encouragement and hope for countless women navigating their heart health journeys. Through the support network she leads at the Council on Aging of St. Clair County, she helps create a safe and compassionate space where survivors can connect, share experiences, and inspire one another through stories of resilience and recovery.

Joe's commitment to service extends beyond advocacy. Throughout her career, she has championed quality care, community engagement, and meaningful support for those facing life's challenges. Her passion for educating and empowering others is evident in everything she does, from strengthening local support networks to fostering inclusive environments where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.

Joe reminds us that leadership is not always about standing in the spotlight. Often, it is about standing beside others, offering encouragement, sharing knowledge, and helping people find the strength to move forward.
