Mid City Nutrition Soup Kitchen Our mission is to serve the hungry and indigent of Saint Clair County for as long as there is a need. Mid City Nutrition Program is a 501(3)(c) corporation.

Mid City Nutrition serves people of all ages and backgrounds. Individuals do not need a referral, proof of income, or proof of residency to receive a meal. All that is asked of each person is that they sign in at every meal to ensure an accurate count of individuals served. The facility is handicap accessible.

Sarah was on the radio with Paul Miller again this morning, talking about our Jewelry Sale tomorrow at Black River Country Club from 6-8!

Empty Bowls is such a fun event - we eat soup with friends, admire the amazing work of our bowl artists, and help Mid City prepare for our future by raising funds. All for $25/person!

We have some absolutely amazing raffle and silent auction items this year. Rounds of golf, Lions gear, beautiful handmade goods, and even a trip to Florida!

There will be many thanks to follow, but as we spend the morning cooking, I must begin with our soup chefs: our own Paul Wessel and Geof Kusch are busy making White Bean Chicken Chili and Chicken Noodle - all from scratch, starting with the stock! The Vintage Tavern has their famous Dill Pickle on the way, and Chef Mike has the Vegetarian Vegetable and his famous rolls coming.

See you tonight at Colonial Woods! Tickets are available at the door.

We added a new sponsorship level for Empty Bowls this year! At the Head Chef level, donors could pick one of our menu soups.

Thanks to The Acheson Foundation, tomorrow's menu will include Beef Barley (light barley!), a favorite of Donna Niester.

We can't wait to see you tomorrow at Colonial Woods! Plenty of tickets are available at the door.

..and there is ONE left. The only way to get it? Come to Empty Bowls next Thursday and place a bid!

You could have your own giant can! It's about 11 inches tall and the cutest thing we've ever seen.
