Life gets busy, and it’s easy to put time for yourself at the bottom of the list. Our NOSC events are a great chance to step away from the day-to-day, connect with other spouses who understand military life, and enjoy a little time together.

Our NOSC community has a fun and full March ahead! From kid activities and playgroup to coffee meetups, brunch, book club, and a cookie decorating class, there’s something for everyone.

NOSC Out & About recap! This past Tuesday we soaked up the most beautiful weather, starting at El Matador State Beach where we explored the stunning rock formations, sea caves, and tide pools for a few hours. Fun fact — this beach was a filming location for the iconic “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird” scene from The Notebook.

After working up an appetite, we headed to Paradise Cove Beach Café for lunch with our toes in the sand (and a few very brave seagulls hoping to join us). It truly felt like paradise.

So grateful for this sweet community and for days that remind us how lucky we are to share life together. ❤️

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? The Navy Seabee Museum is looking for Guest Services volunteers to help welcome visitors!

Volunteers serve in 3-hour shifts and are especially needed on Mondays and Thursdays (10am–1pm or 1–4pm). As the first point of contact for the public, Guest Services volunteers help orient visitors, answer basic questions, and share the story of the Seabees. Training is provided.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. (Written parental consent is required for those under 18.)

The Navy Seabee Museum is located just outside the Knott Gate near the Needham Base Theater and is open Monday–Saturday, 10am–4pm (closed on federal holidays).

It’s been a busy and fun fall so far for our NOSC Ventura community! 🍂💛 From diving into great reads at Book Club, to getting creative at Craft Night, to connecting over coffee at our morning meet-ups — we’ve loved every chance to spend time together.
