The Family Readiness Group is made up of the family and friends of the Seabees stationed with NMCB 5. We are an all volunteer, non-profit organization who relies on donations and fundraising so that we may provide support to all of the families of NMCB 5. Our goal is to enhance family readiness through planning, coordinating, and conducting social, informational, care-taking and morale building ac
tivities; allowing us to meet mission and military lifestyle challenges as a Navy Family Community. During deployments we hold monthly meetings which include information from the NMCB 5 Command, topics and information from around Naval Base Ventura County, and most importantly, a chance to meet other Families of Five! Our FAVORITE, Homecoming!!! In an attempt to keep in touch with NMCB 5 family members who are abroad, whether they are in uniform or out, we have this page. The NMCB 5 FRG is a team committed to bringing out the best of this challenging lifestyle. Lasting friendships, the satisfaction of helping others and a sense of pride are all positive results of belonging to a strong FRG.
