The Evered House is an artistic residency specifically meant to serve veteran-artists and those who serve in conflict zones. Founded by playwright and filmmaker Charles Evered, the program is dedicated to his father, Charles J. Evered (1918-1979), who was a veteran of World War II, Army Air Corps. The Evered House seeks to provide a safe and secure space for those veterans and individuals who have stories to tell and artistic projects to create.

Our Story

The Evered House is an artistic residency in Southern California that is specifically meant to serve veteran-artists, those who serve in conflict zones and first responders. Founded by playwright and filmmaker Charles Evered, the property is named after his father, Charles J. Evered (1918-1979), who was a veteran of World War II, Army Air Corps. The pool of residents would include writers, (Screenwriters, playwrights, poets, short story writers, fiction, non fiction, and novelists.) In addition, artists, both fine and commercial, musicians and photographers. The Evered House seeks to provide a space for those who have stories to tell and artistic projects to create.
