About the Port Townsend Wearable Art Show
The Jefferson Community Foundation Fund for Women & Girls' Wearable Art Show is the "premiere" event for the FW&G. The event, held annually in the spring, is a juried runway show of both beautiful apparel and pieces that are truly "beyond belief." Come see it for yourself!
A wearable art show melds art and fashion, using the human form as a kinetic part of an artistic piece. VHS tapes, mussel shells, leaves and moss, caution tape, electrical tape, paint chips, recycled water bottles, and jigsaw puzzles are some of the elements used to create pieces for the past shows.
The Port Townsend Wearable Art Show is modeled on wildly popular wearable art shows in cities like Baton Rouge, Ketchikan, Halifax, and New Zealand.
