Show Mercy International

Show Mercy International Show Mercy International’s mission is to MOBILIZE, INSPIRE and EMPOWER individuals all over the world

06/05/2026

At Show Mercy, we believe ministry starts with people.

It’s about showing up.
Building relationships.
Sharing the love of Jesus.
Listening, serving, praying, and loving people well.

Whether we’re drilling a water well, visiting a child in our sponsorship program, caring for patients, or spending time with the elderly, our heart is the same: reminding people that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten.

This is who we are.
This is Show Mercy. 💛

WE ARE HIRING 🤍

Behind every child sponsored, every clean water well drilled, and every life impacted is someone faithfully caring for the details.

As Show Mercy International continues to grow, we are looking for the right person, or possibly two people, to help strengthen the work happening behind the scenes of this ministry.

We are currently looking for support in two areas:
1. Partner Engagement & Communication
Responsibilities:
-Writing thank you emails, notes, and partner communication
-Helping partners feel seen, valued, and connected to their impact
-Following up on recurring gifts, account updates, and general correspondence
-Building long-term partner relationships and engagement
-Supporting communication in the voice and heart of Show Mercy

2. Data, Systems & Operations
Responsibilities:
-Managing and maintaining donor records and databases
-Entering and processing donations accurately
-Running reports and tracking financial and donor information
-Keeping backend systems organized and up to date
-Supporting administrative and operational workflows

Helpful experience includes: DonorPerfect, FundraiseUp, QuickBooks, PayPal, Excel, or database management systems. Experience is helpful but not required.

This is a remote opportunity for those living within the United States, with flexibility for part-time or full-time depending on experience and gifting.

Whether your strengths are in communication, organization, systems, donor care, or administration, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, email us at [email protected] with the subject line:
Show Mercy Application – [Your Name]

Please include:
• A short introduction about yourself
• Which area(s) interest you most
• Any relevant experience or software knowledge
• Whether you are interested in part-time or full-time work
• Why you feel you would be a good fit for Show Mercy

We are so grateful for what God continues to build through this ministry and excited to see who He brings into this next season.

Uganda Update from Lori:

“I held a mother in my arms as she cried. Worn down from watching her children get sick from dirty water.

Exhausted from carrying heavy jerrycans for miles. Carrying sick children on her back to the hospital… only to come home and have dirty water still be the only thing to give them again.

Medicine and dirty water shouldn’t go together.

Her 8 year old little girl shared how she used to wake before dawn and walk down a steep hill into the bush to collect dirty water.

I cringed as she described her barefoot feet walking across the sharp rocks on the way. And the mean men whom she encounters along the way.

I went there today. It was worse than I thought. 😞

She told me how they would boil rice and beans with the dirty water and the food would actually change color.

The rice wouldn’t even stay white. I can’t even imagine the taste.

She shared how she tried her best to wash her clothes by hand with soap, but the smell would never fully come out because of the water. Some of the children made fun of her because of it.

And then quietly she shared that she has never owned a pair of knickers (underwear).

“But my mama said maybe when I get older she’ll be able to get me some.”

Like she was almost excited… looking forward to some future moment… a kind of rite of passage. The day she might finally step into her very first pair of knickers.

But then came the best part of the day.

Her whole face lit up when she talked about the new water well and the first time she tasted clean water from it. (Her first time to EVER drink pure clean water mind you)

She said it was cold… and sweet.

I’ve honestly never thought about water tasting sweet before.

But after hearing her say that today… it felt like I had taken a long swallow of that refreshing water myself.

Water droplets and tears look alike.

But one falls from pain… and one can and did change a story.

Ps. I’m getting this girl some knickers as soon as I can 🩷🩷 and believing soon… we can add her to our sponsorship program. I only have about 500 other little ones I need to get sponsored first 🙏🙏

Pss. Didn’t get many pics as it was a full day of being present.”

Some of the strongest people in the world are called “Mom.”

The mothers who wake up early to care for their children.
The mothers who sacrifice quietly every single day.
The mothers who pray, encourage, nurture, and keep going even when life is hard.

Your strength, love, and faith leave a lasting impact on the lives around you.

Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible mothers in Uganda and around the world. 🤍

Before clean water, every day started with a burden. Long walks. Heavy jerry cans. Water that could make families sick.

Now, everything looks different.

Children are going to school instead of spending hours searching for water. Mothers have more time to care for their families. Villages are healthier. Joy has returned to places that once felt forgotten.

Clean water changes more than thirst. It changes lives. 🩵

Imagine being a child waking up with nothing planned for the day… and no guarantee you’ll eat.

No school.
No place to go.
Just hunger… and a lot of time.

Then you hear there’s somewhere you can go.

You walk in a little unsure… maybe even guarded. And someone hands you a meal.

But it’s not just food.

It’s someone noticing you.
Making space for you.

You sit next to other kids who get it.

You’re asked what you love… and you pause for a second because someone is actually listening.

And then they ask… “what do you hate? What’s hard?”

One child said alcohol.
Because alcohol and prostitution are running rampant in this area.

That’s what these kids are growing up around.

But here at the Show Mercy lunch program… they’re seen. 💛

That’s what started this week in Jericho Village.

Kids showed up.
Hungry, yes…
but not just for food.

Can you imagine?
Most of us look in our closet and we have pair after pair after pair of shoes.

Little Mercy didn’t have any.

She just joined our sponsorship family, and her very first event was our Easter party.

So she slipped on her mom’s shoes and walked down that dirt road.
They were all she had to wear for such a special day.

Clip clap.
Clip clap.

They were way too big, but Mercy didn’t care. She was going to a party.

When she got there, there was a new pair of shoes waiting just for her.

She ate, danced, and celebrated the resurrection of Jesus with her new friends.

And she did it in her own shoes.

Close to 2,000 children got to experience a day just like this one.

You made that possible.

Thank you for being part of it. ❤️
