With deep and reverent sorrow, we remember Albert Henry Brown, the oldest known survivor of the Bataan Death March, who has passed away at the age of 105—a man whose life stood as a testament to endurance beyond imagination. 🕊️🇺🇸

In 1942, after the fall of Bataan, he was captured and forced into one of the most brutal ordeals of the Second World War. Mile after mile, under a merciless sun, he marched through hunger, thirst, disease, and cruelty. Along that road of suffering, thousands fell—never to rise again.

But he kept moving.

Step by step…
carrying not only his own strength,
but the memory of those who could not go on.

And the suffering did not end there.

For more than three years, he endured the horrors of prison camps—beaten, starved, and pushed beyond the limits of human endurance. He survived what many were never meant to survive.

They said he would not live to see 50.

He lived to 105.

Not just as a survivor…
but as a living witness to one of history’s darkest chapters.

Now, that voice has fallen silent.

But what he endured will never be forgotten.

Because men like Albert Henry Brown did not just survive history…
they carried it—so the world would never forget its cost.

Somewhere beyond this world, the march has ended.
The suffering is gone.
And he is finally at peace.

His strength remains…
etched forever in the memory of a grateful nation. 🕊️🇺🇸
