The Tyler Runk Memorial Trades Scholarship was created to honor the life, work ethic, and passion of Tyler Runk, a dedicated welder with a heart for helping others. Our mission is to support high-school seniors pursuing a trade school or skilled trade career by providing

annual scholarship opportunities, resources, and encouragement. We also work to raise awareness for mental health and su***de prevention - reminding every student and worker that their lives, skills, and futures matter.

The Tyler Runk Memorial Trades Scholarship has donated $4,000 to the TMHS Student Empowerment of Mental Health Awareness (SEMHA) Team.

The donation will help support guest speakers, educational opportunities, events, activities, and trips being planned for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are honored to announce the first-ever Tyler Runk Memorial Trades Recognition Award.
Congratulations to Gavin DeShong of McConnellsburg High School, recipient of a $1,500 Recognition Award for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the skilled trades.
As we learned more about Gavin’s accomplishments and his pursuit of a career in Automotive Technology, we recognized an opportunity to honor a student whose values reflect those this scholarship was created to support.

We’re sharing that the Tyler Runk Memorial Trade Scholarship website is now live.

Many people have asked how they can support our mission. If you feel led to give, any donation — small or large — is truly appreciated and goes directly toward the non-profit and the students we serve.

The website includes Tyler’s story, progress, impact, and future goals, along with an education center and contact information.

Donations are processed through Zeffy, which allows 100% of your donation to go directly to the non-profit. Zeffy is a free platform, and there is an optional tip to help keep their services free for charities, but this is completely your choice.

You can also visit our apparel store through Printify.
