Commissioner Deutsch read our Proclamation for National Garden Week in all of Charlotte County for June 7 to 13. All three Charlotte County Garden Clubs were represented- Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte and Lemon Bay. Port Charlotte Garden Club took beautiful plant arrangements to the newly opened Mid-County library on Forest Nelson Blvd and also the Port Charlotte Library. Other arrangements distributed and brought joy to Solaris Healthcare and Charlotte Bay Rehab!

There will be a proclamation read at the
Commissioners Meeting declaring National Gardening Week. Be there before 9am Tuesday June 9. Wear your name tag and club shirt if you have one. Proclamations are first on the list so we won't be there long. We will take a few photos outside.

Members of the Port Charlotte Garden Club did an amazing job giving our Gold Star Marker some TLC, adding new plants, and a beautiful wreath to honor and give thanks to all our fallen heroes this Memorial Day weekend. If you are in the area, please stop by to see this marker at the William R Gaines Veterans Park on Edgewater, in Port Charlotte.

The last meeting of our Garden Club before the Summer break will be held at Family Services Center 21500A Gibralter Dr, Port Charlotte. Refreshment served at 9:30 with the meeting beginning at 10. Guests are welcome.

Thank you will never be enough to all PCGC members who participated in making this day a success -even if you just sent your positive vibes! Our club hosted the District IX Spring Luncheon Meeting yesterday and our ‘whimsy’ really showed! With our theme being
“Whimsical Garden Wonders”, we had so much fun! Led by our Director Susan Lawson, over 100 members of FFGC DIX Garden Clubs enjoyed the day! Our program given by Sara Weber and Joyce Laubach left us inspired to add some creative whimsy to our gardens! If you have pics from the day, please add to comments!

It was a great time at The Garden Clubs of District IX The Spring Meeting. The theme was Whimsy in the Garden. Everyone was
dressed in their finest fancy outfits with the Director and our club President wearing Fairy costumes! LeeAnn was the breakfast hostess and set up a delicous array of baked goods and coffee.
