Today, we had the privilege of surprising Bob McDuffie with a special gift as a small token of our appreciation for his years of generosity and faithful support of Jesus Loves You Ministry!

Year after year, Bob has gone above and beyond to support our Annual Charity Golf Tournament by securing matching funds through Modern Woodmen of America, helping us make an even greater impact in the lives of those experiencing homelessness in our community.

Bob, your commitment to JLY is such a blessing! You have helped turn a fun day on the golf course into something so much bigger—opportunities to meet needs, share the love of Jesus, and offer hope to those we serve.

We know you don't do it for the recognition, but we couldn't let another year go by without reminding you just how much you mean to this ministry!

Thank you, Bob, for being such a faithful friend of JLY and for helping us make every dollar—and every act of kindness—go further! ❤️

WOW! Talk about generosity! ❤️
A gentleman stopped by JLY today with quite a gift to bless our campers—and our pantry is looking a whole lot fuller because of it!
Mac & cheese, stuffing, canned pasta, pasta sauce and so much more. These are the everyday items that help us make sure our campers have something to eat, and gifts like this make a real difference.
We are continually amazed by the people God sends through our doors who simply want to help care for our homeless neighbors. Sometimes they come with a few cans, sometimes a whole cart, and sometimes they show up like THIS! 🙌
To this generous gentleman: thank you for seeing a need and choosing to help meet it. Our campers will absolutely be blessed by your kindness.

❤️ Saturday Lunch Run — A Little Extra Blessing Today!

Our Saturday crew was blessed to serve 10 campers with food, hygiene supplies, and water!

But the REAL blessing came when our team encountered a gentleman whose wheelchair had definitely seen better days. Johnny remembered seeing a wheelchair that had recently been donated to JLY. And just like that, because of YOUR generosity, we had exactly what this gentleman needed! The wheelchair was delivered to him TODAY! Johnny shared that the gentleman was moved to tears, overwhelmed with gratitude for this simple act of kindness. ❤️

Your donations matter! You never know how God is going to use something you give to meet someone else's need. To the person who donated that wheelchair, you may never meet this gentleman, but today YOU were the hands and feet of Jesus!

God knew the need before we ever encountered it. What a beautiful reminder that He is always making a way! 🙌

🌻 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: KEVIN 🌻

Kevin has done a little bit of everything at JLY — including answering phones, helping wherever needed, and apparently even trying to move away from us. 😂

Kevin moved to Missouri for a while, but he missed us so much he recently made his way back to Florida! And it didn’t take him long to jump right back into serving.

You can now find Kevin at our Englewood office every Tuesday–Thursday afternoon, providing support, encouragement, and guidance to our campers. He brings a true can-do attitude and always shows up ready to serve wherever he’s needed.

Kevin is also retired military, and we love that his heart for service didn’t end when his enlistment did. 🇺🇸 He continues to give his time, experience, and heart to helping others — and JLY is blessed to have him back as part of the family.

Kevin, we’re grateful for you — and we’re really glad Missouri didn’t keep you! ❤️

⛳ VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: PHIL ⛳

If Phil is involved, you can count on one thing—he’s bringing the ENERGY! 🙌

This year, Phil agreed to lead the charge for our 2026 FORE Homeless Charity Golf Tournament, and when we say he handled all the things…we mean ALL the things. From securing raffle prizes and sponsors, to leading committee meetings, keeping track of details, and making sure everything from A to Z was covered, Phil was all in.

But one of the things we appreciate most about Phil is the way he builds a team. He makes sure everyone has a role, everyone feels valued, and everyone knows their contribution matters. That kind of leadership makes a big event not only successful—but FUN to be part of!

Phil spent tournament morning greeting our players, so somehow I didn’t manage to get many pictures of him. 😂 But this one? This one fits.

Phil, THANK YOU for the countless hours, the energy, the leadership, and the heart you poured into this year’s tournament. We are so grateful you’re part of the JLY family! 💛⛳

Council of Catholic Women from St Max were kind enough to purchase and deliver much needed items for our campers. The back of this van was full of bug spray, laundry soap, shoes, underwear and more! We are so grateful for the generosity of our partners- THANK YOU!!

There’s no better way to start our Friday outreach than with Breakfast Church! 🙌❤️

Before the shower trailer gets rolling at Trinity Global Methodist Church, we gather around for breakfast, fellowship, and the Word of God. Pastor Jim and Pastor Danny take turns bringing a message each week, reminding us that while meeting physical needs matters, our greatest hope will always be found in Jesus.

It’s the perfect way to lead into a morning of service—and we love having this extra time for our campers and servants to sit together, build relationships, pray, laugh, and simply enjoy one another.

Then… it’s time to get those showers rolling! 🚿
We are so thankful for Pastor Jim and Pastor Danny faithfully loving and serving our campers alongside us. Breakfast Church has become a pretty special part of our Fridays! ❤️🙏
