New project details are under construction and I would appreciate your feedback on having access to life's major transitions guidance and support. Life's major transitions can be planned or unplanned where the latter tends to be more typical and include but are not limited to, death, relocation, divorce, loss, etc. This guidance and support model is unique because of the practical applications and strategies it provides across modalities.

Hi Everyone,

It is with great sadness that I share with our FB family and Teddy Bear Project family that my husband, George Page Markey has passed away. Our relationship spans 60 years when we dated in high school, and I miss him so greatly that no words can express my feelings of loss.

Happy Valentine's Day!
This year we are focusing on the joy and love generated through our non-profit 501c3 organization to the children and their families that we serve.
We are sending our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us as we are approaching our 6th anniversary in July 2026. As we did in 2025, we are partnering with one of our Sponsors, Harley Davidson as we have scheduled our 2026 Motorcycle Road Rally on September 5, 2026 in collaboration with Bert's Black Widow Harley Davidson in Port Charlotte, FL.
If you already ride, come join us on the road rally, and if you don't ride yet what better time to start than with a teddy bear on your bike or trike! I've been riding for almost 2 years now having shifted over to an 1800cc trike due to my diminutive size (4'10" and 90 pounds).
We will post more information as it become available.
Much love and many hugs coming your way!

t's 12 days to Christmas and the Teddy Bear Project has become Christmas crazy. Our home and office has become absolutely Christmas crazy (in a good way) of course working on a a teddy bear delivery for the Charlotte County Sheriff's Department. We are in the "joy business" and this is what we do 24/7 365 days a year although this time of year, it is a bit more "glisto" (sparkling and twinkling) around here with all the holiday lights and ornaments all over. We recently rescued a Sphynx kitten we have named "Orion" who is fascinated with Christmas trees, lights and ornaments, and has the capacity to launch himself straight up in the air, loves to removed the ornaments off the tree one at-a-time leaving me to locate and retrieve them (apparently my new hobby).
Enjoying every minute!!!

Thinking ahead for the holiday season which is one of my favorite times of the year, I am wondering who might be willing to host a Christmas Adam event for the Teddy Bear Project which is a tradition I learned thanks to Pat Persinger and her family in Ayden, NC. A little history about this tradition involves the date on which it is annually held always on December 23rd because Christmas Eve always falls on December 24th, and Adam came before Eve . . .
This is a wonderful community event where members of the community are invited to participate in a potluck dinner and then wrap the gifts that have been donated by members of the community as well as gifts that they may decide to bring along themselves. These gifts are donated to the children and their families who need some assistance in making their holidays loving and memorable.
Adyen, NC is a very small town so we had the opportunity to hand deliver those gifts to the families who needed them on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Distribution in Port Charlotte, FL may entail more of a pickup orientation at a designated place and time on December 24th.
So, if you and/or your organization is inspired by the holiday spirit to make this a reality during the holiday season 2025, please send me an IM on FB or send me an email at [email protected].
Warm and fuzzy regards,
Dr. Mary Ann Markey

November 1st is coming up shortly, our Christmas tree will be delivered this week, and the Teddy Bear Project is preparing for our busiest holiday season ever. So, if you are going to need teddy bears and buds for the children, seniors and families you serve, please contact us as soon as possible to make arrangements to pick them up from Teddy Bear Central in Port Charlotte, Florida. We will need to know the quantity and ages of the individuals who will be receiving the teddy bears and buds.
We can ship IF you are able to help defray the shipping costs since most of our donations are in-kind rather than monetary.
Visit our official website at https://theteddybearproject.com for more information about our non-profit organizaition. You can send me an IM on FB or send an email to [email protected].
