Southern Cross Campus Inc Transitional Housing for Aging Out of Foster Care

Where Brighter Futures Begin & Despair Turns Into Hope.

07/30/2026

Want to leave a lasting legacy?

We're building a 15 acre campus for youth in foster care.

The campus will have home-like housing for youth who have been abused, neglected, s*x trafficked, pregnant teens or teenage mothers with their baby, sibling groups, and youth with special needs.

It will also have therapeutic colliegate charter school. Youth from Early Intervention to 12th grade will receive a state of the art academic education, integrated therapy services, and life skills training. This will be open to youth housed on campus and the local community.

What we need is:

πŸ’š 15 + acres of land in Charlotte, DeSoto, or Sarasota counties in Florida

If you can sell or donate this land, send us a DM! It is tax-deductible and naming rights are available.

Future generations will know that YOU helped change their future for the better! πŸ’•

ATTENTION WE NEED YOUR HELP

Yesterday a young man, just 21, showed up at the SCCI President's front door, scared, exhausted, and out of options.

He had just timed out of the local homeless coalition. With nowhere safe to go, he rode his bicycle over 8 miles, he rang the bell and knocked hard hoping someone would answer. When the President husband opened the door, he met Jacob a former foster youth who had been bouncing from couch to couch, trying to survive among the adult homeless population.
As the President was sick and in bed. Her husband immediately took control. He invited the youth in the home with gave him water and something to eat while Anna began to do her magic of verifying his story.
As this is not where a young person aging out of foster care belongs. As most of these youth prior to 18 have already moved over 15x.

It is with Passion Southern Cross Campus Inc., operates two Transitional Homes serving 8 youth at a time. And by, GRACE we had one room available for a short window. (We say please do not bring anyone into your home unless you understand the system and have the ability to verify that youth)

After verifying his information, SCCI did not hesitate. We welcomed him in. Not because it was convenient, not because it was financially easy (as we are not being paid) but because it was right.

Jacob's first request was simple when he arrived at the home. " Can I take a shower?"

Today, he is safe, clean, fed, and off the streets. We are now working to secure long-term placement for him back in Orange County, where he originally came from. But as always, the need is greater than the resources.

This is where you come in.

Every Jacob, every John (18 yr old Foster Youth who has been living free 4 months with us, as we reunited the two bothers after years of separation while the broken system and its programs was working on getting him signed back up).

These young adults who show up scared and alone deserves a door that opens, not one that closes. Your support makes that possible.

If you're able, we welcome donations of ESSENTIALS, FOOD, HYGIENE ITEMS, or FINANCIAL SUPPORT. These contributions big or small directly sustain the rooms, meals, and care that keep youth off the streets and give them a chance to rebuild their lives.

Your generosity helps us say "YES" when a frightened young person knocks.

SCCI only accepts Aging out of Foster Care Youth 18-21 yrs of age.

Thank you for your Action of Love

We are so blessed! 😁

We want to thank St. Vincent de Paul Sacred Heart for their generosity and selfless giving. They have donated enough food and supplies to fill the refrigerators and pantries at both of our transitional homes this month.

Donations like they have made help to fill an important gap in care for youth who've recently aged out of foster care.

As we teach them to care for themselves independently, this shows them that the community sees them and loves them. They are not alone! We won't just let them slip through the cracks.

Thank you to St. Vincent dePaul and everyone who donates and volunteers with their organization. πŸ’–

We did it! πŸŽ‰

We've recieved a $2,500 grant from Charlotte Community Foundation! 😁

Many foster youth come to us feeling worthless and not being able to imagine their own success in life.

This grant will allow us to obtain a professional accountant to take a huge burden off of our staff.

That frees us up to concentrate on showing these foster youth that they are loved and that they can achieve their dreams. πŸ’–

We are so grateful to Charlotte Community Foundation and it's funders! Their support will help us to build better futures for foster youth.

We are so grateful! 😊😊😊

You really came through and helped our 1st Giving Challenge to be a success. We raised $2,300 before the matching funds are applied!

Your generosity tells the foster youth in our program that people love and care about them. πŸ’–

Here are some ways your donations will be used:

πŸ˜‹ Purchasing food items for the youth.

🧻 Purchasing toiletries and cleaning products for the youth.

πŸš— Providing transportation to school, work, doctor's appointments, and other necessary trips.

It takes a village to help these youth and we're proud to be part of a generous, loving community.
