Today, we honor a woman whose heart seemed to make room for everyone—Dolly Parton, a truly extraordinary woman whose kindness and generosity touched generations.
Dolly’s good deeds were countless. She used her gifts, her voice, and her platform to lift others up, especially children who needed someone to believe in them. She understood something we hold close at Toys for Tots: giving a child hope is about so much more than a gift. It is about reminding a child, “You matter. You are loved. Your future matters.”
Our Toys for Tots Literacy Program is proud to share the same mission that has long been at the heart of Dolly’s extraordinary philanthropy through her Imagination Library: empowering children through the life-changing power of literacy. We are committed to help carry that vision forward, paying tribute to her legacy by putting books into the hands of children and helping them discover a world of possibilities for generations to come.
Dolly’s legacy is a beautiful example of what happens when compassion becomes action—and that spirit is something we deeply admire.
