ABOUT US
Operation Resurgence (OPR), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN 85-1392921, was created in June 2020 by Christopher and Tawny Baker in an attempt to reinvigorate and revive a sense of purpose and camaraderie within our Nation’s veteran population through shared experience in a variety of adventures. Made up of veterans who love our Nation and deeply care about the veteran
population, OPR believes that we are all our “Brother’s Keeper” regardless of gender, service affiliation, or occupational specialty. In the trenches of battle the members of our Armed Forces create a bond that is unbreakable. It is rooted in service to those around us while contributing to something greater than ourselves. Despite this connection, our combat veterans often lose their sense of purpose when attempting to transition out of the military which leads to isolation, substance abuse, homelessness, and su***de. My name is Christopher Baker, and after 21 years in the United States Navy I retired out of Florida with an honorable discharge in 2012 and moved to Washington State to be a full time Dad to my two children. A Purple Heart recipient and a highly decorated veteran with countless deployments I had to adjust to civilian life and at times it was a struggle. I missed serving my country, I missed the thrill of pushing my limits, but most of all I missed the Brotherhood. It became easier to see why su***de rates continue to rise and why many of our veterans feel like they’ve been forgotten. While focusing on my children I offered an open door to anyone in the military who was struggling. I felt it was my way to give back the way that others had done for me. I craved doing more, so when my children finally left the nest I knew it was time to return to Florida and start Operation Resurgence. OUR MISSION
To reignite the purpose in the souls of our wounded heroes through connection, adventure, and an undying love for our Armed Forces, our Country, and each other. OUR TEAM

As a team we seek to help disabled members of our Armed Forces reconnect with the same sense of purpose and camaraderie previously established in service to the Nation and guide them to once again serve each other as veterans. We strive to establish a large support structure that provides our veterans with a purpose. WHY WE DO IT
We strive for a Nation where no veteran is left behind, forgotten, or overlooked. VALUES
We are committed to repurposing the veterans that have served our great nation and helping them with all the resources we have available. We are driven by our core values which include:
Leadership: Proactively lead by example to shape a better future for all veterans. Humbleness: Maintain situational awareness, understanding one’s worth to self, family, and community. Passion: To invigorate, engage, inspire, and drive other veterans towards a positive and life changing commitment. Accountability: Strive to show a deep respect for all people we come into contact with inside and outside our company, and for the communities we touch. Proactive: Engage with all veterans and their families focusing on good mental and physical wellbeing. Honesty: Create a culture of honesty and of truth to one’s self, family and community. HOW WE DO IT
• Create a holistic restorative experience centered on an adventurous activity such as scuba diving, fishing, and hunting to create an opportunity to bond.
• Establish a network of geographically co-located veterans who can be mutually supportive, so in times of need they have a trusted agent close by.
• Delve into each member’s needs and connect them to currently available resources.
• Continuously advocate for unity amongst veterans and produce high quality media to tell their stories.
• Reinforce the programs already available to our veterans and keep them up to date on changes.
• Guide our veterans towards investing in the programs the VA has to offer them. In order to continue our mission to help reduce su***de rates, connect disabled veterans with services they may need, provide them with a sense of hope and purpose again, and to offer them an adventure they may not otherwise be able to experience, we need your help. If you have any questions you’re welcome to contact us anytime at (850)-866-9485 or [email protected] and we will be happy to provide you with more information about how you can help Operation Resurgence. Join us in giving hope back to our disabled veterans. “Nemo Resideo" – leave no one behind. That is our mission and we look forward to sharing this journey with you. Respectfully,
Christopher Baker
