A tribute to “The Place That Friendship Built”

A tribute to “The Place That Friendship Built” This page is for all the people the Cultural Center of Charlotte County has impacted over the decades

This page is for the members of our community that were positively impacted from the classes, events, volunteers and programs that The Cultural Center of Charlotte County provided. Having been forced to close it's doors on November 8th 2021, since it's opening in January 1968, the void has yet to be filled. I have started this page to pay homage and tribute to all of the lovely people that were pi

votal in creating a "Place that Friendship Built". It is important to not forget the great value this facility once had and we hope to rejuvenate it again. Following Hurricane Ian this facility has been extremely damaged and may take several years to rebuild, should it be in the interest of the Charlotte County Commissioners. Please follow this page and tag anyone that is willing to share their stories or photos of events or classes that positively impacted them. Our community is still in need of places like this, for our elders to pass on their knowledge and skill to the future generations. Please keep in mind that this page is to spread the admiration of this facility and to share our stories we cherish with one another. Do not dwell in the errors created in the past that may have contributed to its down fall, but instead let us lift each other with proactive planning for the future.
