💙⚾️ URICRA is moving forward — and last night was a BIG step in the right direction! ⚽️🥎
We had 20 people in attendance at last night’s board meeting, and we can’t thank everyone enough for showing up, sharing ideas, asking questions, and caring about the future of youth sports in our community. 🙌
The conversation was all about how we can improve, grow, and build a stronger URICRA together.
A few highlights from the evening:
✨ Communication & teamwork — We talked about ways to improve communication and create more opportunities for volunteers to work together.
✨ Committees & volunteers — We discussed the possibility of creating committees and subcommittees to help spread out responsibilities and make it easier for more people to get involved.
✨ Community involvement — We’re looking at opportunities for URICRA to participate in community events like Trunk or Treat and other local activities.
✨ Youth involvement — We discussed ways to get local high school students involved with things like concessions and refereeing, including exploring community service opportunities.
✨ Fundraising — We revisited past fundraising efforts and began talking about ideas for the future.
✨ Growing our board — One of the biggest needs moving forward is filling our elected board positions: President, Vice President & Secretary. We’ll be putting together duty lists so anyone interested can see exactly what each position involves.
Most importantly, last night showed us that there are people in our community who care and want to see URICRA succeed. 20 people in the room is a great start, and we’re excited to keep building on that momentum. ❤️
URICRA belongs to our community, and its future depends on people willing to step up, pitch in, and be part of it.
