Port Barre Lions Club Helping those that can not always help themselves. Our major yearly fundraiser is the Port Barre Cracklin Festival, normally held in November of every year.

A member of Lions Club International, the Port Barre Lions Club is a non-profit service organization that works to improve the lives of others.

WOW… what an incredible day at the 2nd Annual Port Barre Lions Club Canoe Races & Anything Over Rice Cook-Off! 🚣‍♂️🍚🎉

From the racers paddling their hearts out on Bayou Courtableau to the amazing cook teams serving up some of the best dishes around, today was nothing short of AMAZING!

A huge THANK YOU to the Town of Port Barre, our surrounding communities, sponsors, volunteers, participants, and everyone who came out to support this event. Your continued encouragement and support are what make events like this possible and help us continue our mission of serving others.

We loved seeing families, friends, and neighbors come together for a day filled with fun, friendly competition, great food, and community spirit. The smiles, laughter, and memories made today are exactly what it’s all about.

Thank you for helping make our second year such a tremendous success. We are already looking forward to making next year even bigger and better!

🛶😂 We found our newest canoe racing team, and while they may be a little clumsy on dry land, they seem convinced they’re about to dominate the bayou!

We’re not sure if they’ll be crossing the finish line first or accidentally paddling in opposite directions, but one thing is certain—they’re going to keep us entertained. 🤣

The life jackets are on, the confidence is high, and the competition has officially been warned.

At this point, we’re starting to think he isn’t checking registrations…

He’s checking the competition. 😅

Word around Port Barre is Lion David may be a little nervous about who might show up and paddle away with the bragging rights this year! 🏆

While most people are counting down the days until June 13, Ethan has already fired up the burner, grabbed a spoon, and started his championship training regimen. 😂

Some say he’s perfecting his recipe…
Some say he’s just looking for an excuse to hold a cold beverage while stirring a pot…

Either way, he’s got his eyes on the top prize and plans on bringing the heat to Bayou Courtableau! 🔥🍚
