𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗢 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗡... 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗗?

You've prayed.
You've believed.
You've stood on God's Word.

But the situation still looks the same.

The symptoms haven't changed.
The answer hasn't come.
The door hasn't opened.

And somewhere along the way, a question begins to creep in...

𝗜𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘁?

Here's something we need to understand:

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 "𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝘁" 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 "𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴."

Part 2: Before You See It

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗙 𝗬𝗢𝗨'𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧?

What you can see?
What you feel?
What you’ve experienced?
What someone else has said?
Or 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗗?

Faith doesn’t require us to pretend our circumstances aren’t real.

𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱.

You can acknowledge what the doctor said.
You can see what’s happening in your family.
You can read the financial statement.
You can recognize that the situation looks impossible.

The issue isn’t whether you can see it.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝘆.

Jesus said, “Your word is truth.” — John 17:17

Eventually every believer reaches a place where what we see, feel, or have experienced seems to contradict what God has said.

That’s where faith becomes more than something we say we have.

▶️ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲:
𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗗 — 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟭: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝘆?

And as you watch, ask yourself:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲?

This Sunday!

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 — 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗗

What does it really mean to live by faith?

Not just to believe 𝗶𝗻 God—but to 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 God.

Over the next several weeks, we’re going to dig into what the Bible says about real faith—what it is, how it works, what gets in its way, and what it looks like when life seems to contradict what God has said.

No service at the church tonight.

𝗗𝗢𝗡’𝗧 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟.

Nineveh repented. An entire city turned toward God. Mercy fell.
And somehow…𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁.

He was close enough to watch what God was doing, but his heart wasn’t being changed.

Then God gave Jonah a plant—and for the first time in the story, Jonah was 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬.

But when the plant disappeared, Jonah fell apart.

And that leaves us with a question:
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 “𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧”?

What are you relying on for happiness?
What are you relying on for comfort?
What makes you feel secure?
What are you leaning on?
What are you most afraid of losing?

Sometimes we don’t realize something has become our “plant”…𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗠 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣.

The book of Jonah ends by confronting us with a choice:
Plant or people?
Temporary or eternal?
Comfort or calling?
My preferences or His purposes?

𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗘?

Revival doesn't just reveal the hearts of the lost. Revival reveals the hearts of God's people.

An entire city has turned to God.

Revival has broken out.

This should be the happiest moment of Jonah’s ministry.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁.

Because while Nineveh has changed…

𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁.

Tomorrow, we discover what 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗛 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗫 has really been exposing all along.
