Linda's Lighthouse Linda’s Lighthouse is a non-profit organization that is focused on uplifting & providing opportunities for youth and elders in the Port Arthur community.

Project Hope: Health, Outreach, Parent Resources, and Education Project Hope’s goal is to ensure Port Arthur’s youth are well rounded individuals who in the future can create a positive impact in all areas of life. Our focus will include educating them on ways to promote healthy living, exposing them to PA’s community leaders and mentors, providing parents/caregivers with resources to meet needs, and making sure they are academically equipped for today’s global society. Services and programs will include all age groups. Seasoned Citizens:
Who says being a senior, means life slows down? To keep these “seasoned” citizens thriving, we are dedicated in making sure they have the necessary means to stay healthy and aware. This program aims to keep elders informed on housing, meals, mental health awareness, and fitness. Social activities will be held to keep them fit and stay grooving. Individuals will also have the opportunity to participate in quarterly well check-ins by certified health providers

A special thank you to Memorial High School and PAISD for allowing us to once again bring A Day at Linda’s Lighthouse to your campus. And to the Memorial High School custodial staff, THANK YOU for all of your help throughout the day! From the things everyone saw to the behind-the-scenes assistance that kept us going, we truly appreciate you! 💜

And finally, to our STUDENTS AND PARENTS…

YOU are the reason we do this. 💜

💜NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT SOME OF THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES💜

An event like A Day at Linda’s Lighthouse doesn't just happen. There are people working before the first family arrives, people working nonstop while everyone else is enjoying the day, and people still working after the last guest leaves.

To ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS...THANK YOU! 🫶🏽

Whether you helped set up, welcomed families, assisted with activities, served food, passed out supplies, answered questions, cleaned up, carried something, fixed something, or simply stepped in wherever you saw a need... WE SAW YOU AND WE APPRECIATE YOU! 💜

And then there is our REGISTRATION CREW! 🙌🏽

We absolutely, positively COULD NOT RUN THIS EVENT WITHOUT YOU! You keep things organized and moving while welcoming our families and helping us keep up with everything happening throughout the day. Thank you for showing up year after year and handling one of the most important parts of our event!

And y’all know we have to talk about the FOOD! 😋

A HUGE thank you to the Misters organization for getting on that barbecue pit and helping make sure our families were FED! Thank you for giving your time, your energy, resources and service to our community.

To our entire kitchen and food crew THANK YOU! Feeding that many people is no small task, and you all kept things moving and made sure our families were taken care of. 🍽️🤍

And then there is “Big Boi” who NEVER wants to be recognized. 😂💙 But year after year, he quietly helps make sure we have what we need no matter what. You may not ask for the spotlight, but we are shining a little light your way anyway. THANK YOU for consistently showing up and supporting Linda’s Lighthouse!

💜✨ ONE WEEK LATER… AND OUR HEARTS ARE STILL FULL! ✨💜

It has been a little over a week since our 11th Annual A Day at Linda’s Lighthouse Back-to-School Event, in partnership with the Willie Carter Outreach Center, and we are still smiling about what an incredible day it was!

To every student, parent, family, sponsor, vendor, community organization, volunteer, performer, entertainer, activity provider, and community partner who showed up and helped make this day what it was... THANK YOU! 🫶🏽

A very special THANK YOU to our major sponsors who believed in what we were doing and invested in our vision. Your generosity helped us provide resources, experiences, food, fun, and so much more to the students and families we served. We truly could not do this work without community partners who believe our children are worth investing in. 💜

To our vendors and organizations, thank you for bringing your resources, services, information, activities, giveaways, time, and talents to our families. Every table, every interaction, every resource shared, and every person willing to serve contributed to making the day special.

Linda's Lighthouse is excited to announce the 9th Annual Junior Deputy Camp on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 9am-1pm!

This is a FREE event for youth ages 8–12, but registration is required and space is limited. Registration will close on July 31, or sooner if all spots are filled.

This year, we are proud to partner with the Willie Carter Outreach Center, an organization that has been supporting local students with school supplies for more than 25 years. We are excited to join forces to make an even greater impact in our community!

Bring the whole family for a day of FREE backpacks, school supplies, lunch, games, raffles, kid activities, entertainment, and valuable community resources.
