On Earth Day, we’re celebrating wetlands—nature’s frontline defenders. 🌾🌊

Wetlands along the Texas coast help reduce flooding, filter pollutants, support fisheries, and buffer storm surge, all while sustaining the communities that depend on them.

Here at the Mission-Aransas NERR we’re proud to help protect and study these critical ecosystems. 💙

It may be April Fool’s Day, but marine debris is no joke!! Our Marine Debris Specialist Caitie Christina attended the 8th Annual Texas Plastic Pollution Symposium on March 25th in Galveston, TX to share MANERR marine debris survey data and network with other environmental stewards. We are grateful for events such as this that foster education and awareness of such a prevalent issue along the Texas coastline. Way to represent Caitie!
