We’re just 39 days away from "Sittin’ on the Dock of Port A", our annual fundraising gala! 🌴

As we get closer to this year’s PAEF event, there’s still time to join us as a ⭐️2026 sponsor⭐️ and help support the students, teachers and schools of Port Aransas ISD.

This year is especially meaningful as PAEF celebrates 20 YEARS of investing in our students, with more than $4.83 million invested in Port Aransas schools, educators and students since the Foundation began.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at several levels, beginning at $500, and gala tables are available exclusively through sponsorships. Grand Slam and Black Marlin sponsors also have the opportunity to select from special high-visibility sponsor bonuses, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

🎓 Kinder Signing Day starts TODAY at 3 PM! 💙

We’re all set up at the end of Mini Marlin Hall at H. G. Olsen and ready to welcome our newest Marlins!

Any incoming Kinder student can stop by and sign! With a $100 donation to PAEF, your Kinder student will also receive a special yard sign, while helping fund Kinder field trips and activities throughout this school year.

📚✏️ H. G. Olsen Meet the Teacher Night is almost here!

We’re so excited to welcome our newest Marlins and have all of our incoming kindergarteners participate in Kindergarten Signing Day during Meet the Teacher Night, tomorrow, Thursday August 20th!

Families will also have the opportunity to join the Marlin Kinder Club that evening! All incoming kindergarten students will get to “sign” on Signing Day, and families who make a Kinder Club donation will receive a special yard sign to celebrate their newest little Marlin. 🐟

When MILLIONS of locally collected tax dollars leave our district each year, community support matters more than ever.

PAEF helps keep resources right here in Port Aransas, supporting our teachers, our students, and our schools through grants, programs, and opportunities that make a direct impact.

Every dollar raised by PAEF is an investment back into PAISD. 💙

Today is August 15, which means PAISD’s annual recapture payment is due to the State of Texas.

Over the past 30 years, Port Aransas ISD has forwarded more than $372 million in locally collected property tax revenue to the state through the school finance system commonly known as recapture.

Today, we are sending another $30 million in local taxpayer funds to the State of Texas to meet our annual recapture obligation. That represents approximately 74 cents of every dollar PAISD collected in Maintenance & Operations (M&O) property taxes this year.

With today’s payment, PAISD will have sent approximately $402 million in recapture payments to the State of Texas since 1996.
