Today we closed out Teacher Appreciation Week! While this week gives us a special opportunity to celebrate you, please know that your hard work, dedication, patience, and compassion are appreciated all year long. The impact you make reaches far beyond the classroom walls.

Every lesson taught, every encouraging word spoken, and every moment spent supporting our students helps shape confident learners and kind hearts. You inspire, guide, and make a lasting difference in the lives of so many children.

Thank you for showing up every single day with passion and commitment to our school community. We are grateful for all that you do! 🍎❤️

Our final business shoutouts go to: Barefoot Beans who fueled our morning with coffee! It paired nicely with the warm pastries from Ridley's (a few of our teachers are getting addicted to those blueberry muffins 😂). Grumbles Seafood Co. provided a yummy chicken fajita lunch! And we fished out with some fresh Açaí bowls from Aloha Acai! It was definitely a sweet way to end our week!

We want to thank all of our local businesses again for their amazing generosity and support! OES PTO could not have made this week as special as it was without YOU!

Stingrays Taphouse and Grill provided burgers for everyone and Lelo’s provided gluten free burger options AND gluten free desserts! 💙

Coffee Waves Port Aransas invited our staff to stop by for a complimentary drink of their choice ☕️

We took our Wildflower theme to another level today! Each staff member was gifted with a propagation jar 🍃 Beach’n Blooms gave us a lovely flower arrangement to enjoy in the workroom 🩷 Ridley's provided warm pastries for breakfast! The blueberry muffins looked especially tasty and were the first to go 😋and Mr Gatti's Pizza - Portland, TX fed everyone lunch today. They even provided gluten free and vegetarian options to accommodate everyone’s dietary restrictions! Way to go Mr. Gatti’s!

Teachers, we have two more days of fun and surprises left! We hope y’all are having as much fun with this as we are!

Teacher Appreciation, Cinco De Mayo Style 🌵🇲🇽

Today we had a ‘Best Dressed’ contest to see who could rock their best Cinco De Mayo outfit!
The winner was the one and only, Gaylann Speegle! Mrs. Speegle received a free dinner for four, provided by La Playa Mexican Grille 🌮 Each staff member also received their own recipe kit so they could make Taco Beans at home.

We started the day again with yummy pastries from Ridley's. For lunch, Miss K’s provided a hearty meal with King Ranch casserole, salad, bread sticks and corn salad 💙
Olsen PTO is so thankful for our local businesses that support our schools however they can! We are blessed to have such a wonderful community here in Port Aransas!

Teacher appreciation week is here! 🎉 We are very excited to celebrate our Olsen Elementary teachers and staff this week 💙 Follow along with us everyday as we post about our fun surprises and sweet treats we have planned for our awesome educators!

MONDAY:
We were pleased to have a delicious breakfast of coffee and cinnamon rolls from Whataburger Port Aransas and freshly baked pastries from Ridley's!

Lunch was provided by Coach’s Island Grill
and everyone was given a coupon for a free treat at Dairy Queen 🍦

Our awesome PTO members helped turn the teacher workroom into a garden of flowers 🌼 Because of our teachers, all of our Olsen students BLOOM! 🩷

STAAR testing = DONE!✅ 🎉

We wrapped up the final day of STAAR testing today! Our teachers have worked SO hard to prepare our students and keep them motivated to do their best! To celebrate, they were treated to a delicious lunch thanks to the generosity of The Gaff Bar💀🌴
