Today is AND 🐈‍⬛ OPHS is a private non-profit serving members of Clallam County who need a place to take their pets when they fall on hard times free of charge ❤️‍🩹 we are run strictly by donation so consider donating or volunteering today (link in bio for our website)!
Come adopt one of these cuties TOMORROW at our adoption fee waived event at both Kitty City and Barkhouse as part of events happening at shelters all over the US sponsored by the ASPCA 🐾 adopting one pet means opening up a kennel for us to bring in more animals from the community from families in need!

Adoption fees will be waived Tuesday 8/18 for another event sponsored by the ASPCA!
Negan has been waiting 248 days to be adopted, and would love to call your house his forever home! Helping pets like Negan get out of the shelter opens up kennel space for more pets in need of surrender from families are struggling to provide them the care that they need!

What an incredible week it has been! Our first event nearly cleared our Kitty City shelter down to all but one available cat, and our best boy, Ollie, was adopted! 😻 After the event 12 cats were cleared for adoption by our shelter vet, and two more cats were adopted yesterday! This has opened up kennels for owner surrenders from members of our community who are struggling to care for their pets and need a place to take them! ❤️‍🩹 which we could not do without the outpouring support we received from our community at this last adoption event!
Huge thank you to the ASPCA for sponsoring these adoptions, and to our incredible community for showing up for the animals in our community! 🥰
We now have 9 dogs and 11 cats available for adoption at our Bark House and Kitty City locations! Come join us for our next The Rescue Effect event on August 18th and take home a new furry family member 🐾

The monthly Pet Loss Support Group will be on Monday the 10th at 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at OPHS’s Kitty City at 91 S. Boyce Road, Sequim. Open to any community member who has been affected by the loss of an animal.

UH OH! We're low on dog food! We use Costco brand Salmon & Sweet Potato formula for the dogs in our shelter! Donations would be greatly appreciated at this time at the Bark House location 1743 Old Olympic Hwy Port Angeles! 🐾
