Attracting investments to underserved, rural communities on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State
January 2019 kicks off the official Emerald Coast Opportunity Zone initiative with the hiring of Julie Knott as Regional Director of this innovative program to identify and build investor-ready projects in low-income census tracts and connect these projects to investors. Since March 2018, Julie has spearheaded the nationally recognized Emerald Coast Opportunity Zone project among Tribes including Jamestown S’Klallam, Lower Elwha Klallam, Makah, Quileute, Hoh; cities including Forks, Sekiu, Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend; and counties including Clallam and Jefferson. Working together give us a strong voice, generates investor interest and confidence, and directs our limited resources to a common goal.
