North Olympic History Center We connect the future, through the present, with the past. Clallam County, Washington State Our Research Library is open from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are always welcome. We have three funds: general, capital, and scholarship. Our collections are available online at: https://nohc.catalogaccess.com/

Final History Hike of 2026! Sat Sept19 - Dungeness and 3 Crabs

This walk explores the Dungeness and “3 Crabs” area north of Sequim. Recently the site of a major ecosystem restoration project, this landscape has many stories to tell—from the natural movements of the Dungeness River to the history of the town of Dungeness and the Dungeness Wharf, which once provided a vital commercial link between the North Olympic Peninsula and the markets of Seattle and Victoria. 2026 Open House
A huge thank you to all who came out for our open house and made it such a fun event, and an even bigger thank you to all the volunteers who supported the event and kept things running smoothly. We had 150 visitors stop by for tours and it was great to connect with so many fellow history enthusiasts. If you or someone you know would like a guided tour of the Center to learn about our work, just give us a shout!
