We will be having our monthly chapter meeting tomorrow evening at Black Diamond Community Hall 6:30pm. This meetings topic will be “Grants 101- Jen Bond will give an overview on how grants support trail work. Details will be shared on the chapter’s grant funding for 2023-2024 including what is match and how to generate it, getting reimbursed for trail work expenses, and required paperwork.”

Good evening everyone. Us at Mt Olympus B*H are trying to figure out how many people are coming out to Mt Muller Littleton Horse Camp this coming Saturday?

The WTA were not able to make it to Mt Muller this past weekend to clear the top. 3 did hike it tho and let us know there are at least 2 very large logs that horses won’t be able to make it over. From Foust rock to the lower trail and back to camp are clear.
Mt Olympus B*H are looking forward to see everyone out there this coming weekend for a scavenger hunt and potluck it you would like to join us.

Mt Olympus Chapter members Larry Baysinger and Mike McCracken got this windfall removed from the Littleton Trail going up the west side. No one has ridden the entire loop yet but next week we plan to.

Our Share the Trails day Saturday was so much fun for everyone. Thanks to all the agency people who joined us with your displays. Thanks to our President Wendy and the young people who helped with crafts, pony rides and painting horses and ponies.
Thanks to Port Angeles Walmart for their generous contribution of providing weenies , buns, chips and water for 100 people.
One bicycle rider came in from Victoria Canada and hung around visiting with everyone. Dave and Rosalie Secord provided great music for our entertainment along with Larry and guests taking turns on the bucket bass.

Thanks too for everyone who stayed to help take down all the shelters and our kitchen set up and load our utility trailer.

We are getting our last minute preparations in order, there will be lunch by donation, hot dogs, water and chips. Mini horse Cinnamon will be there(some may know her from the fair), a couple ponies for pony rides, a LNT display, the ONP mules, Liz from ONF, Gordan from Peninsula Trails Coalition, Dave and Rosalie Secord playing music and signing, kids crafts and a 3's display from PB*H. We will also be having a potluck dinner Saturday evening about 5 at the camp. — attending Share The Trail Event.

We had a great bunch of hard working volunteers to clean up Littleton Horse Calp today. Most of us brought our dogs, some brought kids and horses. Rochelle brought her mama Shirley who enjoyed the day. Every time we walked past her she would say “Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help”. Sweet! Seven or eight dogs and no dog fights!

Mt Olympus B*H chapter and Elizabeth from ONF are hosting a Share The Trail event on Saturday May 20th 10-3 at Mt Muller/ Littleton Horse Camp.
This event is fun for the whole family, with crafts, trail information, Gordon Taylor from the Peninsula Trails Coalition who oversees the Olympic Discovery Trail will be there with maps. mini horse and mini donkey, pony rides and lunch by donation.

The eggs are hid, in easy reach of riders, hopefully they’ll still be there Saturday. Rain or shine we will ride….
