May 2-3 to support the expansion and renovation of the Sequim Library! Gifts to the North Olympic Library Foundation through wagives.org will help the Sequim Library better serve our community.

Gifts that total $250 or more will be recognized on a special donor wall near the entrance of the renovated library. Larger donations will be further distinguished and several opportunities exist to name key areas in the renovated Sequim Library.

Nearly 10,000 square feet when complete, the renovated and expanded building will include ADA-accessible bathrooms and a fire-sprinkler system, increase space for collections, expand community access to broadband and computers, add study and conference rooms for quiet and private spaces, and create adequate staff space and room for educational, cultural and civic events. Learn more about the project and giving opportunities at nols.org/sequim.

Thank you for your generosity as we build this next chapter together!

Every year, a diverse batch of developmentally-appropriate books is selected for each age group including bilingual books in Spanish and English, with options for braille and audiobooks.

Register your children age 4 and under here.

In 6-9 weeks you’ll receive your first book. After that, books will arrive monthly. The first book every child receives is The Little Engine That Could, which is Dolly Parton’s favorite book. Our Mission: Libraries, Beyond the Walls. Always there for you!

The North Olympic Library System is working harder than ever before, to plan and provide services in a covid-safe way. Here are just a few of the ways you can still use the libraries in Clallam County: curbside pick-ups and drop-offs, librarian-assisted grab bags in your favorite book genre, online book clubs, extended e-collections, and familiar, friendly voices on the phone.

The North Olympic Library Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that helps fund system-wide programs and projects to deliver library services “outside the walls” when and where they are needed. This is even more important now, as we navigate through phases of safe access.

Projects recently funded by NOLF include Tiny Libraries in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks, Clallam Bay, and on Clallam Transit buses, and a book given to every child enrolled in a Head Start program in Clallam County.

Think about how much the library means to you and your community, and please consider a donation to keep our libraries strong. Gifts of any size are appreciated. Donations gladly received here, or on our website: https://www.northolympiclibraryfoundation.org/index.php, or email/call [email protected] , (360) 417-8500 Ext. 7714.

Quick, name an institution in your community where you can go for entertainment, information, education, wi-fi, and socialization. Now, is it available to all, regardless of age, income level, location, ethnicity, or physical ability? Does it provide a safe space, and all the resources needed to live, learn, govern and work? Yes?

Then you almost certainly named your library. Libraries give us all of this and so much more.

• They help build healthy communities
• They preserve history and truth
• They connect us to our surroundings and to each other
• We need them now more than ever

Please keep our essential community libraries vibrant and available.

Library Giving Day is fast approaching. Libraries across the State of Washington have banded together to raise awareness of our valuable libraries. Please donate an amount of your choice to the North Olympic Library Foundation, to strengthen our Clallam County libraries now and into the future.

Thank you so much for your support!
