Port Angeles Noon Rotary

Port Angeles Noon Rotary Doing good here & worldwide, knowing your neighbors, all during lunch on Wed @ Asian Buffet, join us. We do good.

By building strong relationships in Port Angeles over lunchtime gatherings and more 'informal' after-hours get togethers, we create ties within our community and empower ourselves to reach out to those in need, here in Clallam County and across the globe. Our membership comes from all walks of like, ranging from public service and education to event planning and retirees. Together, we use new tool

s like social networking and tried-and-true methods like ol' fashioned boots-on-the-ground work to bring the vision of a peaceful, healthy world to life. No matter where you are in your life, it's never to early to check out Rotary. Come by one of our lunches, every Wednesday at Noon at the Crab House on the waterfront, to see how you CAN make a difference.

Did you know that 80% of people who snore have sleep apnea, and that 80 to 85% of people with sleep apnea or undiagnosed? These individuals are more likely to have car accidents, high blood pressure, cardiac events, memory disorders and other health impacts. We learned from Stuart Rich that we should all seek and evaluation if someone in our life tells us that we are snoring. If you sleep alone, you can also use apps to track your sleeping. Most important takeaway, make sure you get an evaluation.

And on Friday Rotarians volunteered at the Friendship Dinner, prepping and serving a huge pan of meatloaf with the help of the scout troop we sponsor.

And a few more of Stuart’s photos from his service trip to Masai. He described that the women would walk for kilometers carrying food and water for their families. The men tended flocks during the day. The dental facility was enclosed in a fence and gated to keep predators out. Stuart shared his photographs of the people, and animals they saw while on safari, and shared stories about this incredible experience. He started by saying if we all were able to visit other places and other people we might have fewer problems in the world.
