Come play with us! For over 70 years, Port Angeles Community Players (PACP) have brought creative opportunities and entertainment to area residents and visitors alike. Since 1952, the dedicated volunteers of the PACP have presented a great variety of stage productions for the enjoyment of the community. Through dedicated community effort, the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, located on Lauridsen

Blvd., became a reality in 1971. We have celebrated theater by staging over 350 musicals, comedies and dramas for more than 100,000 patrons. Productions have involved hundreds of community members as actors, directors, set designers, stage crews, ushers, graphic designers, box office personnel and other vital jobs. If you’re interested in being a part of the excitement of live theatre, then there’s a place for you at PACP. We always need help, skilled and other: ushering, painting, building, sewing, cleaning, greeting —even bee-keeping—and architectural design. If any of this intrigues you, please email us at [email protected]

It's here! It's time! It's opening night and we can't wait to welcome you to Miss Holmes.

When a nervous bride receives a warning about her brand-new husband, Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson find themselves unraveling a mystery polite society would very much prefer remain… unexamined.

A well-regarded inspector.
A troubling pattern.
And far too many unfortunate wives.

Inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this bold reimagining brings mystery and unique style to the classic whodunit.

Shows: May 29-June 14

Tuesdays and Friday nights at 7pm

🕵️Miss Holmes🔍opens TOMORROW!

Introducing the director, Janice Parks!

Janice has been involved in theatre in various places since she was in elementary school. She has acted in, directed, and worked backstage in many Port Angeles Community Players, Olympic Theatre Arts and Reader’s Theatre Plus productions. In recent years, she directed The Lion in Winter and Enchanted April here at the PACP. She recently played Miss Blacklock in A Murder is Announced at OTA in Sequim, and Marie (the Fairy Godmother) in Ghostlight’s production of Cinderella. She lives in Gardiner with her husband, Tony, their cat Hobbes, and their flock of chickens.

In a city of gaslight and secrets… justice has a new face.

When a newlywed receives an anonymous warning about her husband, Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson are drawn into a case that whispers of murder, power, and carefully buried truths.

A respected police inspector. A trail of dead wives. And a mystery no one else dares to question.
But in a world built to overlook them, solving the case is only the beginning.

Holmes—brilliant, relentless, and far too observant for her time.
Watson—driven, capable, and fighting for respect in a profession that barely tolerates her existence.

Together, they move through a London of steam, shadow, and subtle clockwork innovation, where progress hums beneath the surface and danger wears a respectable face.

Inspired by the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, this bold reimagining by Christopher M. Walsh casts a fierce feminist lens on the classic detective story—where brilliance refuses to stay silent… and justice refuses to wait its turn.

Just a tease of the set for Miss Holmes before we open TOMORROW!

We've talked about the twist having Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson being women. And we've mentioned that it's steampunk.

But what is steampunk, exactly?

Steampunk is a retro-futuristic style that blends Victorian-era fashion and aesthetics with imaginative, steam-powered technology. Think brass gadgets, whirring clockwork machinery, airships, goggles, and inventive contraptions straight out of a world that never quite existed.

The energy is kind of like: What if people in the 1800s invented Wi-Fi, but powered it with steam and covered it in rivets?

Examples of steampunk in popular and literary culture:
-Wild Wild West
-The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
-Mortal Engines
-Howl's Moving Castle
-BioShock Infinite (video game)
-Atlantis: The Lost Empire

In our production of Miss Holmes, steampunk influences the costumes and visual design, adding a layer of industrial fantasy to the world of Holmes and Watson.

Intrigued? Come see the fantastical world we've created for you right here in current day Port Angeles.

Miss Holmes, by Christopher M. Walsh, May 29 - June 14 at PACP.

🕵️Miss Holmes🔍opens in 2 DAYS!

Introducing our stage manager, Melody Todnem!

After about a year, Melody is back stage working the show. Along with her team, she is moving furniture and props and feeling like it’s been a keystone cop routine to learn the choreography to make scene transitions go quickly. Such a fun show, sit back and enjoy. “Please ‘ooh’ and ‘ah’ over our brand new curtains.”

🕵️Miss Holmes🔍opens in 3 DAYS!

Introducing William Stone as the Superintendent and Edward Greener

William is thrilled to be on stage here at PACP. This is his first time at this iconic venue. He is currently active at Olympic Theatre Arts in Sequim where he serves on the Board of Trustees and has acted and directed there as well. William has been acting for many years getting his start in theaters in North Bend and Snoqualmie Washington. He would like to thank our Director, Janice Parks, for casting him and taking a chance. He also appeared in many other productions at OTA. On a personal note, he enjoys being on stage with his son Sean.
