Olympic Discovery Trail

Olympic Discovery Trail Olympic Discovery Trail is the mission of the Peninsula Trails Coalition, a nonprofit founded in 1988. More than 90 of its 135 miles are complete.

The Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) traverses approximately 135 miles across the Olympic Peninsula, bordered by the Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The ODT begins in the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend and continues west to the Pacific Ocean. It is a wide, paved path for cyclists, hikers, runners, wheelchair users, and equestrians. (No motorized vehicles besides wheelchairs and

Happy National Trails Day! ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ

Today we're celebrating the people who bring the Olympic Discovery Trail to lifeโ€”both the users who explore it and the volunteers who help make it possible.
Whether you've biked across a bridge, watched a sunset along the shoreline, run a favorite stretch of trail, spotted wildlife, or simply enjoyed a peaceful walk, we'd love to see your ODT memories. Share your photos, videos, and stories and tag us so we can celebrate the trail through your eyes.

And to our incredible volunteers: thank you. From trail maintenance and cleanup projects to advocacy, outreach, and ambassador programs, your dedication helps keep the Olympic Discovery Trail welcoming and accessible for everyone. We'd love to hear your stories too! Share why you volunteer, your favorite trail memories, or what the ODT means to you.

The Olympic Discovery Trail exists because of a community that believes in connecting people to the outdoors, to each other, and to the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula.

The Clallam County Thursday Crew has been accomplishing a lot out in the wilds of the Olympic Adventure Trail. Much w**d whacking and brushing! The Crew has a wonderful predicament of work that never ends. This Thursday (4June) they plan to start this Thursday at the Eden Valley crossing and work west towards the Burrito Bridge with string trimmers, repairing tread and drains! Depending on the turn out, Jeff would like to throw in a side quest or two, assembling the new picnic table at the Dining Room (MP6 via Eden Valley). Possibly even transporting some deck boards to the site of the future Burrito Bridge 2.0 at MP8.25. The extra tasks will depend on turnout and vehicle logistics. There will be no shortage of work! Come out and join the Crew

We LOVE chatting with folks out on the trail. Meet MJ, from Anacortes.

Yesterday, she rode from Port Townsend to Forks and camped. Today, she rode from Forks to Port Townsend, then took the ferry back home.

What a fun cycling adventure! Have you done a similar ride on the ODT?

Thanks for visiting us MJ! ๐Ÿšฒ
