Peninsula Friends of Animals has an urgent need for an On-Call Feline Caregiver to help care for our rescue kittens, adult cats, and senior cats. 🐾

This position is part-time and provides coverage for vacation and sick leave for our full-time caregivers and may also assist with special projects. Duties include cleaning playrooms, scooping litter boxes, feeding cats, administering medications, and monitoring feline health. 🐈💕

REQUIREMENTS
✔️ Available to work weekends.
✔️ Mature, professional, reliable, and punctual.
✔️ Excellent communication skills.
✔️ Ability to navigate stairs, lift up to 40 pounds, and remain on feet for extended periods.
✔️ Reliable transportation.

👑🐾 Meet Flora and Mona—two superstar moms who each raised FIVE kittens! That's ten kittens total. TEN. 😹

These amazing girls came to us from a hoarding situation and are ready to retire from motherhood and embrace their next chapter: being spoiled rotten in loving furrever homes. 💕 They aren't a bonded pair, so they can be adopted together or separately.

And the kittens? 👀

🚨 The 4th of July is just around the corner! And do you know what that means? 🌟 FIREWORKS! 🌟

To help keep your pets safe, prepare for the noise and keep them indoors during celebrations. Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be frightening and stressful for pets. Celebrate safely! 🎉🥳🐾

Pet Safety Tips

🐾 ABOVE ALL, KEEP YOUR PETS SECURELY INSIDE YOUR HOME.
🐾 Create a safe, quiet place where pets can retreat.
🐾 Close curtains or blinds
🐾 Turn on the TV or radio to help mask outside noise.
🐾 Make sure ID tags and microchip information are up to date.
🐾 Keep recent photos of your pets on hand, just in case.
🐾 Exercise your pet before festivities begin.
🐾 Keep pets occupied with toys, treats, and extra attention.
🐾 Consider using calming diffusers or calming sprays.
🐾 If you're hosting a gathering, remind guests not to let pets outside.
🐾 Keep pets away from matches, fireworks, and open flames.

🍩🐾 Happy National Donut Day! 🐾🍩

Did you know National Donut Day is celebrated on the first Friday in June? It was established by The Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938 to honor the "Donut Lassies," the incredible women who served donuts to American soldiers on the front lines of World War I. ❤️

Of course, Wills couldn't let a holiday like this pass without participating. 😸

In the interest of journalism (and science), we bravely sacrificed two donuts so Wills could conduct a taste test. After a couple of investigative licks, he declared them... acceptable.
