💜 June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month.

We are working to ensure rural America isn't left behind as cutting-edge technology, treatments, and medications become available in urban areas across the country.
Last month, National Grange President Christine E. Hamp published an op-ed in the Washington Examiner calling for lawmakers to act to protect our rural communities in this fight.

June is National Pollinator Month, and communities across America have a lot to thank pollinators for. Bees, butterflies, birds, bats, and other pollinators help support the crops and plants that feed our families, strengthen local agriculture, and keep ecosystems healthy.

Across the country, pollinators are essential partners in agriculture and food production. Without them, many of the fruits, vegetables, nuts, and flowers we rely on would struggle to grow.

This month, we are celebrating the small creatures that make a big impact on our communities and encouraging Granges everywhere to think about how we can support pollinator-friendly spaces in our hometowns.

How is your Grange supporting pollinators, gardening, conservation, or local agriculture this summer? Share your photos, projects, and ideas in the comments! 🐝🌻

Grangers in Washington State are invited to take part in important research being conducted by a Doctoral student at National University.

The study, “The Use of Digital Technology in Pest Management," seeks participants who are 18+, who produce food crops in Washington State on land under 100 acres, and who are not considered 'vulnerable adults' in the state.
If this sounds like you, please participate here: https://ncu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0qERQhknuBRDJT8?Q_CHL=qr.

This survey should take less than five minutes of your time.

This Wednesday, May 20 will be our first Potluck and social since construction began. Please join us for dinner at 6:00. The program to start after we eat will be Melissa from Hidden Penny Farm. She has prepared a slideshow for us about their family farm. They will also tell us about the grant they just received to start a poultry processing plant here in Clallam County, and how they plan to partner with other poultry farmers to make it available to more consumers in our county.

As always, the public is very welcome. See you Wednesday.
