So basically…
We don’t have enough likes, views, or Interactions for Instagram to deem our page, and our precious herd worthy of the algorithm.
This matters to us why?
We are in a rural, dare I say very remote part of Washington state, hard to get too, practically an island, we can see Canada.
The closest wild horses to us are the Silver Lake herd, a hush hush herd descended from a working ranch over 100 years ago, they’re SW and 250 miles roaming on private timber land.
Next would the Yakima reservation mustangs, then the Colville reservation ponies and the Aeneas Valley herd, that may be part of the Colville reservation.
Anyhow, there a few rescues that have taken in mustangs in WA state but we are the only Mustang Sanctuary in the state that I know of, and we don’t have nearly the amount of land or infrastructure or a solid team to accommodate the amount of mustangs in need of rescue or sanctuary in this state.
One more thing, we didn’t choose this location for a sanctuary, it chose us.
I have spent the better part of many sleepless nights searching for land for the last six years, a permanent location where the infrastructure can be built and the dream unfolds, or better yet, a location that already has the infrastructure. $$$$$
If you’ve read this far, Instagram has not been letting me post pictures of the horses, so here I am, up in your feed, maybe. 🤷🏻♀️
