June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate identity, uplift voices, and recognize the resilience of LGBTQ+ youth, including those in foster care. These young people often face unique challenges like rejection, discrimination, and isolation. CASA volunteers can be the affirming, consistent presence they need to feel seen, heard, and valued. Advocacy means showing up for all children. Learn more: www.casa18jdc.org/volunteer.

‼️Donation Opportunity ‼️

Rachel and Ava, two amazing community members, are gathering new, donated items to create Birthday Bags. The goal is to provide an age-appropriate bag of items for each CASA child's birthday along with the donated birthday cake from our local bakeries. We are grateful for those who have already made donations and appreciate the support of our community who help us .

Summer might be a break from school, but it’s not a break from advocacy. CASA volunteers continue showing up for children in foster care: through the transitions, the heat, and the unknowns. Be the consistency a child needs this summer.

At CASA, we believe children do best when they can safely remain with or return to their families, and when that’s not possible, we advocate for the next best path to permanency. CASA volunteers help ensure every decision is made in the child’s best interest, with reunification always considered first. Learn how you can make a difference in a child’s life at www.casa18jdc.org/volunteer.

Last year, 1,141 children served by CASA in Louisiana were reunified with their biological families. These reunifications represent not just numbers, but real stories of resilience, healing, and hope. With guidance from CASA volunteers, many families are able to access the support they need to create safe, nurturing environments for their children to return home. Join us in celebrating National Reunification Month and help more families write their next chapter together. Learn how to volunteer here: www.casa18jdc.org/volunteer.
